Very helpful and nice for the most part but as with us all they're human also and have stressful days. Remember you never know what someone else has been through and you may be the difference between someone choosing life or death or thinking no one cares about them anymore. Even if no words are spoken a kind smile can help anyone any day and make a difference!

Great people that really care about the community and the need of the people. Helped me when I was down and I don't forget things like that. Pictures I took are from candle light vigil for education and awareness of our homeless community and those in need.

I now have a job in Salida, living the dream. Got me a very nice suite to live in now. I wanted to live here since I came to Colorado and none of it would have happened without La Puente and it's staffs help. I owe you guys. Thank you ?❤️✌️?

La Puente gave me a place to stay, how to me with clothing, fed me, helped me find a place to live, and I met some of the most wonderful people in my life among the administrative staff at La Puente.

As far as shelters go it is relatively safe. It is a roof and possibly a meal. The food is given more generously to some than others; honestly the staff picks favorites. I personally did the dishes every meal I ate there and the one time I tried to eat without doing them I was told no, after I watched another guy do the exact same thing and got food. Its just some of them that are like that. If you have any other choice of somewhere to stay you should do that. There is no sense of fairness in this place. You do not get rewarded for working unless you are one of their favorites.

The workers will steal your house you want to rent, they left me out in the cold and I caught hypothermia. Unfortunately another guy I knew died, froze to death..

This is one of the better shelters I have been too. My husband and I volunteer here and it is great.
They welcome everyone with a smile and comforting arms.
A few more volunteers are needed, bit this place runs quite well.
The support of the the community is unbelievable.
