The Kerr Family YMCA is a great place to workout, swim, or just relax!!! Their pool is used by several swim teams so be sure to check the open swim schedules ahead of time!! Very good free weights and exercise machines areas as well as a nice elevated walk track that over looks to basketball courts!! In the summer hours they have a great outdoor pool and water side as well.

Kerr Family YMCA has been a lifesaver for me this year. My health is drastically improved, as is my mental health (any other moms need a break from the kids on a regular basis?!) The child care is top notch. Whitney, Dawn, and Roya are so special to my children, but EVERYONE in the kids zone is kind, patient, and gentle with the kids. They give honest feedback about how the kids are doing, and follow through with making sure little ones are sent to the bathroom as requested. The gym has recently been renovated and most of the equipment is new! I do wish the pool was kept a little warmer in the winter, but we enjoy family swim time anyway. Another huge benefit is the sauna in the locker room. Lastly, the free coffee station is a fantastic little bonus after a a hard workout. Love the Y and plan to keep my membership for years to come.

While this is a nice Facility, here is where YMCA is unfortunately falling short.

My wife needs to have a pool to Excercise so I took her there to the Wakefield YMCA to join and unfortunately they would NOT accept her Fitness with Medicare. She had to be in a “Premium” level. This is rediculous to do to people on fixed incomes and just trying to EXCERCISE and stay HEALTHY!

This is discrimination and makes them feel under valued!!

Very nice gym. They have a great variety, and the machines are the newest. Big bonus for having Hammer Strength machines. Friendly staff and busy but not too crazy.

I can’t believe this place only has 3.5 stars. I can’t speak to summer camp or child care but I do attend fitness classes and lift weights here and it’s great! Truly a community gym meaning it is smaller and equipment can be limited during busy times. However; it’s a YMCA meaning the people who work here are amazing and caring and friendly. They keep things clean and make regular updates and additions. They listen to feedback and best of all, they support members in need with financial aid and support the community in general with programs and events. I’m proud to be a member here!

We love the Kerr site! The facilities are always clean and everyone is friendly. Our kids often prefer coming to the outdoor pool here in the summer instead of the neighborhood pool because of the big slide ❤️.

Im a camper tracking out here and I can’t lie, this probably the best place to track out, fun activities, good counselers, and everything is the best

Love the Y so much, great place to stay busy at and get gains in but the courts are always too busy for casual hoopers, it’s also very dusty on the courts and the staff doesn’t seem to care enough to clean it. I’ve see countless dudes slip, slide, and fall due to the conditions on the floor. Overall the basketball community has been pushed to the side here, with other activities hanging out on the court overtime cutting down how much time we can play but when we go over they shut it down immediately. Great place just needs some work on these things, makes it hard to really enjoy yourself there.
