I love this Y. I come here most mornings and have never had a real concern. The parking lot is big, always parking available. The gym has plenty of options, whether you're new to fitness or are an expert. I like taking some of the classes that are offered, like Yoga and Body Balance, specifically. One of the best parts is the childcare that is included. Before my youngest started daycare, he was in the child care center while I worked out each morning. They worked really hard to help get him adjusted, it could have been easy for them to get frustrated since he cried for most of the time starting out-- but they were actually a huge help in getting him acclimated to a world where he can play with some friends-- and where this Mama can get healthy just down the hall. The indoor pools are great, my oldest took swim lessons here. When the outdoor pools are open in the Summer, we frequent them A LOT. My oldest has played several sports here and has learned a lot and made some friends-- as have I and my husband. I used to be on the Board a couple of years ago, and I got firsthand experience with the work that they do and how much they genuinely seem to care about what they do. It was truly an honor and a great experience. We have used the summer camp and the after-school care in the past, both convenient and fairly priced. I look forward to continuing my health journey here.

I love all the things this YMCA offers. I spend most of my time though on the upstairs on door track especially in the winter months.
However, the heat is set for the comfort of the basketball court downstairs and not for those who utilize the track. A lot of folks have complained about the heat and suggested putting even floor fans in the corners. (One corner is a fire exit so you can not put a fan there) but after a month or more nothing has been done. Please for those that do walk and run upstairs please do something before someone has a heart attack or passes out from the heat. Thank you.

Thank you for fixing the heat on the track and making it enjoyable again. 😊

This is a great facility for all seasons. They offer a plethora of group exercises both on the floor and in the pool(s). They have a top-notch gym, and the best of it all is the outside pool with a separate splash/shallow pool area for very young children. And it's all part of your membership. A seasonal membership at any community pool is $400+, so for mw, this only is a huge money saver. I absolutely love it that they have several umbrellas there that provide shade for parents who do not use the pool. It's always brimming with people and children, and it's very popular among the regional YMCAs. Last time we went to the pool, one of the donuts on the rope course in the outside pool was missing, which makes it impossible for children shorter than 5.5. ft to complete the course. I hope that as good stewards of the facility, they will take the time to fix it.

Overall the facility is nice and clean, we love outdoor pool. Splash pad outdoor pool is nice too, but much colder. For swim lessons. I am happy for the refund. Ms. Catherine was not a good choice, we will rather travel 35 min to Jerry Long YMCA, where instructor letting know when sick or have emergency before lesson, doesn't ignore emails and recommend next stage with the paper "cerficate".

This is the most chaotic of all ymca s. You find the lowest crowd in here. There´s a new trend going around where single women with their children follow couples and their children around for hours while staring. Very uneducated kids running around with no respect for adults whatsoever and women bathing with their clothes on. I really feel for the lifeguards as they have to put up with these people frustrations.

I may give this place another try, but pretty disappointed in the lack of managing the workout rooms. I've tried several different times, but too much socializing around some machines where you can't get on them. Cell phones in constant use on many machines, at times making it very difficult to use machines and leaving me to walk out without finishing a workout. Yes there are signs about phone use, being considerate of others, but the staff overseeing the rooms to workout in do not say anything to the people just sitting on a machine texting. The last time I was in there was a girl that took over 35 mins to do 4 sets on one machine, due to checking her phone and to text. I nicely asked her if I could get in a set between her sets. She rudely told me NO. I waited another 10 mins standing beside the machine while she texted. I come to work out and not to sit on or stand blocking
machines. The Y in WS is not like this at all. Management needs to be more aware of what team members are actually doing when they are over an area.

I’m very disappointed in my membership so far. This is the only place in our city that has indoor basketball courts. The problem is, the basketball courts are hardly ever available to use. If they are available it’s some random time during the day, for example from 3pm to 5pm. Nearly impossible for those of us who have regular 8 to 5 pm jobs. Paying $90 month for a family membership with the main purpose to use the basketball courts has been a waste. I’m sure they’ll reply, “you can use any of our other locations.” I get that, but I joined so that I could use my local location at least most of the time. I wish that they would make improvements in this area. I really don’t want to cancel my membership.
