Maybe stop hiring people who steal foodstamps from within, second time in 3 months my card had been canceled right before foodstamps hits. Y’all even got rid of the option to request a new card thru the phone bc too many ppl would try 🤷

This pasted month I've dealt with someone from the office at least 5 times. Today verified my food stamps are ready i.can even go down and get.the card if I wanted. Every time each person has been very helpful and respectful. The wait time is what they say to call you back. Thank you for helping me so efficiently

This is the worst experience I've had in the country. Simply trying to call and get help with CalFresh to make an appointment because it should have been expedited within 3 days, and 2 weeks later I have heard nothing. When I call every single time it says the call volume is too high please call back later it hangs up on me so I've never been able to reach anyone about my case. And now they don't even have a hold time which was already 110 minutes every other time I called. I have been calling for 2 months to try and get this handled and this is not acceptable. I have disabilities and can't be in large crowds, and I never had an issue calling to make an appointment anywhere else. I am planning to report them to the state at this point

If you don’t have an appointment, I suggest that you get there early in the morning, especially because it gets very hot outside. They open at 7:30 and I suggested you get there at least at 6:45 AM because the line gets very very very long!
Once you do get inside, it is well air-conditioned and there will be a bit of a wait just depending on how many people are there on that specific day, that’s just how it goes.
I suggest you bring a snack and some water. Otherwise, the people seem quite nice that work there and it’s understandable If sometimes they just seem a little bit irritated or frustrated because that’s what happens when you’re working in an environment with a lot of different personalities and people coming in and out.

Literally horrible looked like one of the “case workers” didn’t know how to do their job correctly and while we were in the middle of getting my paper works together so I can continue receiving my benefits she tells me to hold on I said okay nicely and all it went straight to was a survey I had to do and the phone call just hung up on me? I thought this was supposed to happen after you’re done talking with your caseworker ?

This welfare office in itself is not very good. The bathrooms are terrifying and you're gonna be asked about 15 times if you want a free phone (not worse than the bathroom I promise). The workers themselves are pretty amazing as long as you know what you're trying to do. There are plenty of people to guide you while in this huge, confusing welfare office. Its ALWAYS packed and you will wait quite a while to be seen so make an appointment first. All in all, the workers are good but the office is a little bit out of shape..

I've been waiting for 5 months for my food benefits. My first appointment they didn't call and I couldn't get a hold of anyone. A few days later they scheduled it for 2 months later. That was a month ago. In that interview I was told I needed to provided some documents and I would receive my benefits shortly after. I've had a EBT card with no money on it for 4 weeks. Everytime I call for help I either get no response or told I just need to wait. I'm happy they had a good thanksgiving, because of their lack of urgency I couldn't buy myself groceries. Sad part is I realized I couldn't be the only one. Maybe we will have groceries by Christmas. If not at least you will.

They do not know what they are doing!!!!! Ruthless people work there! .....unhelpful...A unprofessional lady(who I will file a complaint against) accuse me of fraud over the phone because she thought my pay stubs was for full-time and not partime hrs... she was all over the place. Disgusting behavior....it makes no sense that my benefits were cut. She could not give me an explanation. Horrible. These people do not care about you.
