When I moved to the LA area a few years ago I was so happy I could transfer my Junior League membership to the league in Pasadena. It's a tight knit group of motivated women who are actively participating in their community. If you are looking to gain leadership skills, learn how to fundraise, and/or do hands-on volunteering in the Pasadena area, I highly recommend checking out JLP! They have even shown their resilience and adaptiveness during the pandemic, with online meetings, virtual fundraisers and socially-distanced volunteer opportunities. Looking forward to another great year, which just so happens to be their 95th!!

When I first moved to Pasadena, almost 10 years ago, one of the first things I did was join the Junior League of Pasadena. Not only did this organization help me to make friends in my new hometown, but I also learned new-to-me skills!

As a training organization, the Junior League excels in not only supporting the Pasadena community with trained volunteers, but also equipping those volunteers to go out and support other not for profit organizations.

Thank you to the Junior League for being a part of Pasadena for over 95 years!

This is an amazing organization! I decided to join after attending an informational social event. I was pleasantly surprised by how down-to-earth, smart, and driven everyone was. It's good company to keep! I've been a member for about 4 years now. Their focus is business, entrepreneurship, and leadership skills for women - which we achieve both by volunteer work with the local community, as well as through training and developing our members. I really enjoy doing positive things in the community, gaining new skills, and the camaraderie of the other women in the group.

I called 11/25 at 12:08pm to see if I could volunteer based on what I saw online I thought that the organization was giving back to the community on Thanksgiving however the lady I spoke with was very rude about it. She had Poor customer service and very snobby. Being someone that just wanted to help and participate with giving back to the community she could’ve said “I’m sorry ma’am we’re are not participating in any events taking place on thanksgiving” instead she was very rude and short with me. I wouldn’t want to go to this place if It were the last place on earth just based on that experience. Do better !
