My daughter, Maddie was very ill with an infection from the birth process when she was born 5.5 weeks early back in 2006. She spent 7 weeks in the NICU, could not breath on her own for 13 days, and was unable to swallow, breast feed, or drink from a bottle ever! She had permanent and life long brain damage from the infection as a preemie. My husband and I were not prepared this was our first child together, who would be. Jack's helping hand was there for us then, and now with their support through the many, many challenges we faced, she can now bounce and flip on a trampoline. The child were told would not walk, learn to walk at the age of 26 months, she was not able to eat by mouth till she was almost 4, now can flip on a trampoline! We just want you all to know, they are the BEST! The best people, the best organization, the best of everything an organization like this can offer to those in need! Thank you Jack's from all of us and all those who give their time to create this amazing organization right here on the Central Coast! You all make a huge difference that words cannot express, how much you do!

The electric beach wheelchair was a blessing. Being able to be with the family near the water means a lot to me. My 8-year old grandson said his favorite part of the day was “Papa (me) being there to watch me boogie board”.

I can't say enough wonderful things about this amazing organization. My daughter has a learning disability that insurance will not cover. After filling out a user friendly financial aid application, Jack's Helping Hand stepped up to the plate and will be covering the cost of many weeks of special tutoring with an education specialist! I loved the fact that I was encouraged to put more info in the application -- including a photo of my daughter and a long letter from her dad and myself. This gave Jack's a chance to really know us and our predicament. ***THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART, Jack's Helping Hand!!!!!!!***

Beautiful program. Went to the cal poly rodeo fun day sponsored by jacks helping hand and cal poly and it was absolutely amazing. The students and staff helped him enjoy every moment. Not a frown in the area.
