We have been going here for a pool supplies and help for 15yrs. Brian is the best! The knowledge and support we get sets this company apart from the rest. Brian has helped so much and a couple years ago we had our pool resurfaced and all equipment and pump upgraded with new lighting. Brian made sure we had the right stuff and what a difference our pool looks now. Check this place out for your pool and backyard needs.

Great pool service. I went in with a leaky filter tub. After a few questions, he determined that it was my 0 ring. Sold me a new one, and it worked like a charm. A couple of weeks later, my pool water turned ugly, and no matter what I did, it did not get better. I went back to J&S, and they sold me a miracle pill and explained exactly how to use it, and my pool was as good as new in two days . Very good experience . I will continue to go back if I incur any future problems.

After the home and garden show I called to set up an appointment. After three weeks I never heard from L&S. I called back, I was told my info was never printed out and given to someone to contact me. It has been several months now and I’ve never heard from anyone from this company so I will go somewhere else.
If you want to stay in business, contact customers that want service!

In April 2024, we called J&S Pools and Spa for service; the gas pool heater stopped working; this is the second new pool heater J&S installed at our house in 9 years. The first one broke after 3 years, they told us we need a new gas heater, and we did get a new one.

This time their contractor/employee (?) came to the house, took down the side of the heater placed inside what looked like an oversized screwdriver, heater started, then a couple of moments later we heard a loud explosion and everything stopped, including the pool pump.
He said “this is not good” and got ready to leave.
I asked for his card, he did not have one, I asked for his name he declined. He said “You don’t need it” and left

My wife and I would like to know if the this person is licensed fixing Gas pool heaters in the State of California.
We asked the company, J&S Pools and Spa, 1. who was the person sent to our house, 2. if he is licensed and 3. why the explosion.
They sent us a letter about why we heard the explosion.
We still do not know who was sent to our house, and do not know if this person is licensed. (We never heard such an explosion coming from a gas heater.) The letter did not contain this information.

In the last 9 years or so we spent tens of thousand of dollars (installing an in ground spa, and getting connected to the street gas line and servicing it all is very expensive) with this company, and now we are sorry we did.
Our advice is to stay away

They are vary knowledgeable and helpful. The water test is vary hi tech and free. They tell you only what you need and not try to sell you something else. And they have been in business longer than 10yr.
