I'm grateful that my father was very well cared for during his year and half at Sunrise Assisted Living in Bonita (now known as ivy Park). The staff were consistently kind and friendly to him. I appreciated that staff were often able to take an extra minute to have extra conversation with him. Overall, I would recommend Sunrise to anyone searching for Assisted Living or Memory Care.

My mother was in Evergreen, the memory care part of Ivy Park Bonita. She was a resident for over a year. The caretakers and staff in Evergreen were phenomenal. Communication was frequent and followthrough was prompt. From the moment you walk in the Ivy Park door, every part of our experience there was amazing. Thank you for providing a safe and enriching environment for my mother.

I have been a registered nurse for a long time, providing care that is compassionate and patient centered is what I am very familiar with, We are one of the many outside partners that work along side this community. I have been to many care facilities in and around San Diego and I can attest that this place is one of the best out there. Caring for our seniors and loved ones should be dynamic with a lot of family involvement , It is always important that the people at the top and their managers are highly communicative and involved. This is what I constantly observe in this community Every time we are there,The service directors Zen and Shannon are very accessible when it comes to coordinating and advocating for their residents best care, They are highly competent and experienced Patient advocates. The leadership from the Executive Director demonstrates a hands on approach which is much needed in this field, I have seen him help serve Ice cream for his team or his residents, run errands himself and get supplies when needed. He is not afraid to fold up his sleeves and support the team that he works with. They are very involved leaders and rarely will you catch them in their office behind the desk.I would send my own loved ones here

My father in law is a resident at Ivy Park where he receives wonderful care. We are especially pleased with the activities director, Marianna. She plans the best activities and outings. She cares about the residents! Ivy Park is lucky to have her!

After visiting several facilities in search of a caring environment for my husband who suffers from end stage Parkinson's, we found Ivy Park Bonita. The entire staff has been remarkably welcoming. The care he is receiving is wonderful and he is adapting to his new environment! Thank you, Ivy Park Bonita!

The Memory Care Unit is always kept up. The staff NEVER seem frazzled and they really know the residents and their needs. They are amazing. I really don't know how they do it!
When I enter Sunrise of Bonita I am always greeted with a 'hello'. The area always looks "comfortable, clean, and safe".
The front desk staff are amazing. They are very friendly and efficient. I imagine they are "balancing a lot of plates" every day. I appreciate their smiles every time I enter and leave Sunrise of Bonita.
The staff at Sunrise of Bonita have earned my trust. I hope they continue to do the right thing and keep my brother and I updated.
I don't know how often the staff get a, "thank-you", but they deserve them every day!

Activity Director Rachel Hagopian orchestrated a totally fun and heart-warming day for the residents. The residents were all smiles and kept saying how much they enjoyed the day. You could tell all the residents were happy and enjoyed each other. Rachel has happy and lovely energy, and always has a smile on her face. My husband couldn’t remember the name of Sunrise, so he calls it “The fun place.”

Thank you, Rachel.

When it comes to touring senior living facilities, I am a bit of an expert. My dad suffered from dementia and was in no less than four different facilities (including mental health and memory care) in Arizona before we were able to find Sunrise at Bonita. The difference has been incredible: I could instantly tell when we first arrived that this place was different. The staff is friendly and respectful. The community members are tolerant, sweet, and active. My dad says that his experience between the Arizona facilities and Sunrise in California is like "night and day." Sunrise at Bonita is simply more of a community of care and less (to put it bluntly) a silo for old folks. I could not be happier for my dad. He was so sad and frustrated by rude staff and unprofessional management in Arizona, and I was too. Sunrise has brought new life to my dad, and for that I am beyond grateful.
