I am 16 years old and was kidnapped and trafficked. I was brought here legally when I was little as a refugee and had been a Lawful Permanent Resident for over 10 years now. I realized the people who brought me here were the ones who trafficked me and it wasn't safe to be with them anymore. I applied for citizenship and was denied because of what my traffickers had put on my record and the judge told me to appeal. When I reached out to the International Institute of Minnesota and told them about how I was trafficked and to help me appeal my citizenship/reapply, they told me, "Our attorneys don't have time for your time sensitive case." How senseless?! I agree with what other people are saying here that they're racist. What kind of person would respond like that to a situation like this if it's not because they're racist?

Amazing resource for immigrants and asylum seekers. Friendly people who help and are kind. Great programs to help with language skills, job skills, resources, etc. Highly recommend looking into all they offer.

This place use to be a good place, but now it’s very discriminatory, imagine I went to see this immigration attorney, but unfortunately I been discriminated at high level, she kept calling me black during our conversation the whole time, thinking I don’t understand English, also she was making fun about my records, and personality. Once I stepped out, she started laughing with her assistant and making fun. Please dear immigrants stay a ways from this place. I know we been through a lot already and we don’t need no more trauma.

I came here for a graduation. I am super impressed by the professionalism and the staff truly love what they are doing. You can tell by their genuine smiles and the way they treat their students. This is a great place to gain friends and community. Especially for those that are new to the United States. This feels like a good place to be welcomed in to the culture, while being celebrated for your culture as well.

Greatly disappointing for a place that's meant to be of help and more. Waste of time is an understatement. Had my case put on hold because of their carelessness. They'll have an intern help you with your USCIS applications and not care when everything falls through.
