I called to report a colony of feral cats & kittens where I had been li.ving. I was having to move & I was worried about them. She told me that I was part of the problem, because I couldn't afford to have them fixed. They were there when I moved there. I've just been trying to feed them, to keep them from starving. I can't take 30 cats with me where I'm moving. She asked me what I wanted them to do. I ended up telling her nothing. To have a great day..

Hello Animal Friends., I was part of the Humane Society for nearly 30 years. Every day I had at least one chore on my agenda to help the neglected animals of Beaufort and the surrounding counties. We all worked very hard. If it wasn't planning for the Auction or a yard sale it was advertising events, educating, having 'a spay-neuter clinic' during the winter months and ''rabies clinics' in summer. We used all of our raised money to help the animals. We have great faith in our fearless leader, Dr. Marty! Her entire life as a veterinarian has been assisting underprivileged animals.
I miss you Humane Society. God willing I will be back for a visit at least.

The Humane Society's main focus is to control the feral cats in the county via trap/neuter, return. Their goal is to make Beaufort County a no kill county. Wish they would do more for dogs.

They are a great bunch of people that are trying their best to help unwanted animals. They try their best to inform the public of how to help control stray animals. It also a good place to pick up a pet if you are in the market for one.

I'm somewhat confused as to the goal of the HUMANE society of Beaufort county. If there is an animal that needs shelter they refer people to the Shelter. How humane is that?
