Waited 40 min in line to get put on a list to get kitten spayed and then they didn't have any spots left when we got up to the desk even though they let 2 people fill out their info that didn't have cash. If you're gonna have people wait for hours just to get a spot at least make it fair

I can't thank the staff enough for the care they give the animals. Someone dumped off a little kitten that had a birth defect and had no use out of its front legs. They took it in and is getting it the vet care it needs. Beautiful little black & white kitten. Now it will have a chance to thrive!
Some people have no right to have animals. This little one had no chance living out in the wild.

Very clean. Excellent staff and volunteers. I am SO grateful that they were able to take in a pregnant stray I had been caring for over the past two years. With three of my own in a small apartment there was simply no way I could have cared for her. They were waiting for us when we arrived with a place all ready for her to nest. Thank You, Darke County Humane Society!

My wife and I took a friend to adopt a cat, I have 2 of my own, otherwise I would've taken one or two home. There were several I had my eye on, it broke my heart to see roughly 2 dozen without a home, wish I had a farm. The staff were friendly and helpful.

These people are great! My dog's collar got caught somewhere on a walk, and she became trapped. I don't walk very well, and I couldn't find her. A nice lady from the Humane Society volunteered to come out and help me find her on a Saturday! If you are looking to make a donation, this is the place!
