I cannot say enough good things about HAWS and the amazing staff who work there. I adopted my dog Gus from HAWS, and the experience was nothing short of wonderful. Everyone was so kind and helpful throughout the entire process, but I especially want to highlight Carrie, who made such a big impact. She guided me through the adoption with such warmth, a great sense of humor, and kindness.

I also had the pleasure of taking the Basic Manners class with Carrie, where Gus and I learned so much. From commands like “come” and “sit” to better understanding how to bond with and train my dog, the class was such a rewarding experience.

Adopting Gus has been one of the most emotional and fulfilling journeys of my life. I never thought I could love a little animal as much as I love him. I’m so grateful to HAWS for bringing Gus into my life and for all the support they provided. Thank you for all you do to help animals and people alike!

The SNIP clinic staff were awesome. It was super easy to call & schedule spay/neuter surgery, they explained the prep instructions and vaccination requirements, and even called to confirm ahead of my dog’s surgery date. Upon arrival on the day of surgery, staff was extremely friendly & the doctor gave me a rundown of what would happen before & after the surgery when I handed my dog off to her. (Can’t remember Dr’s name unfortunately). Upon pick up the nurse explained aftercare instructions & it was a pretty easy and quick experience overall! I would highly recommend the SNIP clinic for affordable spay & neuter services 😊

Very clean and extremely helpful staff. My wife and I fell in love with a mid age dog and were able to adopt her that day. Our "Zinnia" is well-behaved and enjoys wandering around our property and going for long walks. Waukesha is very fortunate to have such a well run facility like this. I adopted a cat from HAWS about a month ago. The adoption process was wonderful! The staff was extremely helpful and caring towards the animals. The facility itself is extremely nice and clean inside and out. The cat I adopted was in a community room with another cat (good to see not all cats are locked in small cages) and when I opened the door, she ran up to me and hugged my leg. She chose me. HAWS had all of her records on file to take with me and other good info on the cat to help me solidify my decision. I’m so happy to give a loving animal a loving forever home! Thank you, HAWS!
