The word that I must use for the experienced crew..on the 6th flr..for Vets..is exceptional..the crew that handled my request was Supervisor Gordon..Ms Charles and Ms Stennett. They were all very informative..very respectful and very professional...not to mention their patience was exceptional because my concerns had a very close deadline...They helped me to reach that crucial deadline and obtain my goal. So..I must say to my fellow Vets...come to them with respect and patience and u shall receive that in return .
I give my thanks to this exceptional crew at 25 Chapel st. 6th flr.

The most rudest, unhelpful, unprofessional staff I have ever had to deal with and I am speaking as a professional calling on behalf of a client. You can never get through to someone on the phone without having to wait over 1 hour and then when you get connected to someone, they don't know the answers, they try to transfer to you another department whose phoneline isn't even working. They refuse to provide their names. Never encountered such an organized city agency such as HRA!!

Avoid this organization if you can. Apply for NYS programs directly. Multiple people told me I was not eligible for medicaid without even looking up my account. Ends up I had been approved months ago, but no one told me... Finally just had my first doctor visit and now they are trying to cancel it due to “double coverage” with insurance I haven’t had for months.
When I try to contact them, either no one picks up, or again they refuse to look up my account and give me incorrect, vague info. Last two women yelled at me because they got impatient as I explained my situation...
The incompetence and lack of compassion somehow shocks me every time I have to contact them.

Wicked rude individual, the lady has no courtesy for human approach. I wonder how people get jobs like this with such characters. Not helpful but I believe this is what we all have to go through at this center. Thanks for being rude

I have tried this site many times. Any mistakes they will not allow you to fix. I have called number too speak with someone about this either a recording or nothing. Right now it's hard to get any help unless you have been on this service for a while.
