The pricing here is absurd. For example, I found a used Costco brand frying pan for 34 dollars, a used flour sifter for 22 dollars, and several Big Lots store brand fake succulent arrangements for up to 14 dollars (more than the new price at Big Lots!). I overheard another group in the store who were also suffering from sticker shock.

The staff was lovely and I would consider returning if they worked on their pricing. For now, I’ll stick to the Restore in Brevard, where a used coffee mug doesn’t cost 6 bucks.

I would say to seriously consider all your options for donating items before considering this Habitat Restore. If you have home interior items know that side of the store is literally overflowing because the manager just takes absolutely everything even though there’s no place to put it.

The pictures I uploaded are on Sunday morning after a recent storm that came through the area, and you can see all the furniture that was left outside in the rain, Saturday night and all day Sunday. It’s all completely ruined. Is that what you want to happen to your donated items?

This store is in desperate need of new management to sell down their current inventory, reduce the ridiculous pricing (the prices are so high they always some sale going on), and be more discretionary on the donations they accept.

Prices are so ridiculously high. Things are nearly priced at what these used items cost brand new. Maybe if they had reasonable prices, they wouldn’t have so much overflow and lack of retail space. Really is mind blowing to see a sofa worth $3000 at a donation store. I would not donate to this store, or waste your time window shopping.

Here’s my slogan for them: “Habitat For Humanity where our attitudes are lower than our prices.”

Unbelievable pricing.
A wobbly nesting table $197 oh but don’t worry it’s 40% off on the sale… ok that’s still too dang much for furniture I have to buy new hardware for to stabilize it.

When I brought a mirror to the front counter for pricing and purchasing, one of the ladies was very rude in her tone when she said “that area isn’t even supposed to be looked at, that’s why it doesn’t have a price.”
Shocked at her tone I replied “oh my goodness (in utter shock of the tone I was given by her) And I didn’t see any sign that indicated that.”
“Well there are signs all over there!”

This is not the first time I have encountered these prices and attitudes from this store.
Which is why I’m finally taking time to leave a review.

I read the reviews and decided to take a look for myself. They have some really nice pieces in there, and all furniture was 40% off on the weekend I went. But even with that discount, furniture was overpriced for a thrift store. One reviewer had said it was antique store prices…..they are right. There was a white “leather” (likely vinyl) sofa for $900. If I’m going to spend that much for a sofa, I’ll spend a bit more and buy a brand new one not a used one. I saw several pieces I could have used, but prices were out of line. I realize money from sales go to a worthy cause, but they would make money quicker with more reasonable pricing.

This place is more expensive then antique stores. Just shows how greedy they are. I'm sure not how former president Carter intended! Even with discounts I could hardly afford anything and on top of that I would still have to clean and fix anything I purchased.

The furniture store is definitely overpriced! Me and my daughter went in to look for a few things and omgoodness... $900 for a used broken down couch! $280 for a out door single chair. It is beyond packed in the store with no shoppers. This place needs someone that can price to sale. We walked out both store didnt buy ANYTHING

Leaving one star because it won't allow a zero star. Don't waste your time coming here. The home improvement side isn't too bad (other than things marked as "vintage" that clearly are not) but the furniture building is ridiculously overpriced. If you look back a few reviews you'll see a photo (from two weeks ago) of a tent out in the parking lot...its still there. There was furniture piled in and around it with no real protection from the weather (and its POURING rain today). Even the items "on sale" are still overpriced at the sale prices. The entire store needs to be cleared out at 75% or more to make it shoppable. There is so much piled in there it isn't CLOSE to being ADA compliant. If you look around a little you can see the problem...people looking up things online for prices. Give me a break....it's a RESALE store and they got all this for FREE but they're putting RETAIL prices on everything which explains why they have so much stuff. They need new management that will stop trying to run it as an "upscale boutique" and get back to reality. By the way, when we were there, the place REEKED of a strong chemical smell (sort of like Clorox and bathroom cleaner) probably from having to clean the stuff left out in the weather. It was so bad we had to leave because our eyes were burning. Unless you're looking for the possibility of moldy furniture, I probably wouldn't shop there. Ridiculous.
