I am only one of many veterans that go to the VA Hospital in Loma Linda for medical care. Before my time in service I was outspoken, enthusiastic, confident, and passionate. After I got out, I was noticeably feeling stripped of my sense of purpose. I ended up at the VA Hospital in Loma Linda for major depression issues. I would get so frustrated with myself, and I didn’t feel patience with myself as I once had as a young adult. I struggled with tasks regularly and couldn’t even concentrate. Help Heal Veterans brought a little something for my fellow veterans and I. Leather stitching craft kits was one of many items. At first I wasn’t doing so well, but on the follow ups there were improvements in the finished product. When I was discharged, I felt motivated to be creative and constructive. I became a happier version of me, in turn, making my daughters happy every time they’d come over. They noticed a positive change. Therefore I noticed, progress in my healing process.

For years I have been supporting this wonderful non-profit organization HHV! They helped me when I really needed their help! Being injured in the line of duty and having my life totally change I had a seriously hard time adapting to being disabled and in a wheelchair! I didn't know if what I was suffering from was going to be permanent or not, but I still hoped for the best!
HHV helped me realize I still was able to do things, even if I couldn't do everything I used to! The craft kits made me realize I could still use my arms and hands and I was not totally useless!
I will be ever thankful for HHV's help!
Thank you HHV and I also want to thank the many people who have given donations, as I greatly appreciate it! God Bless You Always!

I haven't had the chance to get up there yet but I do know that HHV has totally changed my life. Their dedication to wounded veterans is unsurpassed by any other organization that I have worked with. Thank you ALL so very much for your commitment to this organization and this great nation.

My name is Daryl. A homeless vetern with medical problems. Here at Pennyroyal Veterns Center Hopkinsville, KY.
I would like everyone who reads this to know,, that it were not for the leather crafts from Help Hospital Veterns.
Life would be so much more complicated here. Dealing with long days of traveling to Nashville VA hospital and the waiting, then medical procedures, then waiting to return, as most of us here go through at Pennyroyal. The Leather crafts we take with us and work on. Keep us from going bonkers during that time.
We enjoy the benefits it gives us as we are able to stay focus on the days planning. When back at Pennyroyal. It helps during the boaring times as we sit and chat togeher and the lonely alone times that all humans go thru.
I Thank everyone whom has donated , so HHV can have the products, to get our lives back on track in a easy'er way.
I Thank those whom work so diligently in their job at HHV.

Thank You All. You mean So Much, to us veterns..
Daryl
