I am a long time adopter from Haven. Anyone who does not consider getting a pet from them is making a mistake. The only issue is I would like to adopt all of them!!! The animals are so grateful and the staff is so helpful. They even called a month after the adoption to check up on Bohdie. I have now, over the course of 25 years, adopted five dogs. All of them were truly great dogs, to include my latest puppy that I have had now for three months. If you are considering a new pet, please go visit them, walk around see what happy living creatures they have that just need a home and some love. Again, the staff is very good, and the process could not be easier or more affordable (some are free!). So look at my puppy and ask yourself, why go anywhere else.

I have used Haven a few times adopting my Brutus about 8 years ago, but this time my experience really left a mark. My son found a puppy about 2 months ago after making sure he didn't belong to anyone we were now parents of a beautiful boxer named Ernie. We called Haven to set up his vaccinations and his Neuter. We were advised to call on the last Monday of the month and we did. I want to thank Glen for his awesome advice and help. Glen set up Ernies Nuter and advised me when we could get him vaccinated. He made the experience wonderful.

My problem with Haven is with there spay and neuter clinic. The wait time is so long that we were never able to get our dog neutered in a timely matter. Now he has developed dominance through high testosterone. My family's lifes are affected and we now have a dangerous dog we cant rehome or euthanize.

Very helpful and friendly staff. Fast wait time as well.
I'm here visiting and wanted to get a microchip for my dog. They provided this service for me at a reasonable price.
All around it was a wonderful experience. From parking to professionalism. A +

They gave my dog vaccination in April 2024. 2 days ago my dog was throwing up and had blood out her butt. I know thats sign of parvo. They would not return my
call so i just went in yesterday an
d they said they could not see her. They only treat the kennel dog, and the doctors were in surgery. It was a cat spaiding day. No one will bill her medical insurance. Its pay up front.

We fell in love with a boy named Luther. We made an appt to bring our current pets to meet him on 11/12. On 11/9 we were going to bring our pets but did have another appt. We were assured he was unlikely not going to be adopted no one had showed any interest in him so with being reassured he would still be available We made and appt after the holiday weekend to introduce our pets. Got a call this morning he was adopted in the few hours after we left. Now we have to tell our kids there is no chance to adopt Luther because of the lies we were told. We would have canceled our plans but we we went off of what the "staff who know there stuff" advised. I would rather just pay for a pet like I have the last two times just to avoid the heart break.

I think it’s important to note that they will not help you regarding animals abandoned as a private citizen which is shameful. Last year I found a very sick & emaciated cat. I called & they didn't have room so THEY suggested I take care of the cat & keep calling for when they have room which is NEVER. I fed, de-fleaed, de-wormed, & got the cat rabies shots ALL at Haven. Then when the cat started attacking other neighbors' animals and my daughter they refused to put the animal down because he was “healthy”(which is true because I’ve been caring for the cat). I want to stress that you can’t save every animal and sometimes the best thing to do is put the animal down. So beware of what the policy is & the hoops they make you jump through when trying to be a good citizen and help out. They will stab you in the back, send you packing, or dismiss you & the animal.

The staff was so amazing and helpful! They have these really cool events like the one we attended where they waive the adoption fee, we didn't know about it, but so glad we went when we did! We just went in to see about the process of adopting, but they sent us home with our pup-for-life (Tank)! So happy with them!!
