A loved one was brought here by ambulance following a vehicle accident. We met them at the emergency department. We found the whole staff to be professional and caring.

I was able to get in rather quickly. The staff was courteous, polite and helpful most of the time. My problem was treated and I was referred back to my family physician though I know I will also be going to a specialist. My overall stay was great.

I am writing this review while I sit alone in the storage closet they put me in. I came in with extreme back pain due to a pinched nerve. After over an hour of waiting in the ER, I finally got seen. The doctor was nice and told me I'd need 3 shots to loosen up, but I needed an x-ray first. After another 45 min, I got my x-ray before being told the doctor would see me soon to give me my shots. Another hour later, a nurse comes in with my discharge papers. I remind her I never got treatment and that I was supposed to get 3 shots, but my discharge paper said nothing about medication. I showed her the paper the doc gave me with the 3 medications on them, and she left to get it resolved. It's been about 20 min since then, and I still haven't gotten treatment. I'm almost at the point where I could've just drove the 4 hours back home to raleigh to see my normal doctor and still get treatment quicker. After 14 visits to the ER over the last 22 years of my life and I can say without a doubt this is the worst hospital ER I have ever been to. Do not come here if your having a real serious emergency.

I have children attending Western Carolina University, and in the past 2 months, there have been 3 trips to the Emergency Room at Harris Regional. Each time, as a Mama, I have been so impressed the staff and the care my kids have received. The staff is kind, thorough, communicative and have the sweetest bedside manner.

Major shoutout to RN Justin!

I could not have been more pleased with my time spent on my radiation therapy. The staff was so friendly and helpful making the situation as pleasant as could possibly be expected. While the jury is still out on the results, I would recommend this facility to anyone. Thank you!

Duke life point can Eat shift! Born anf raised and still live in the area. Got in a serious accident (H&R) by Drunk driver, in Asheville was released from mission in stable condition to follow up with out patient referrals (I later found out never got added to my chart). Was told if my head injuries symptoms get worse to got to the local ER. Headache wouldn't go away and mysterious fluid leaking from nose. Went to this ER. The Doctor thought the whole thing was hilarious and I was seeking pain meds which I never wanted, never asked for nor would it make difference. Haven't been on any pharmaceuticals since middle school 15+ years ago nor do I want to get back on them. I explained at the time (what would later turn out to be "Spinal fluid") was mysteriously counting to leak from my nose. She gaslighted me trying to get me to change the details of my symptoms, she would repeat back to me twisting my words and ultimately not caring. Then when leaving they REFUSED any insurance information I tried to update and would ONLY do self pay. Well unfortunately I now have serious brain damage that is potentially going to be a life long debilitating injury. Still months later going through treatment with ZERO pain meds. Do to her not taking me seriously and helping me get referrals to the need specialist I had to wait even longer to get in to the appropriate care. (In which Im told could have been the difference in the injury being permanent or temporary) So now that Im not allowed to work. I have all tje time in thw world AND losing everything! Absolutely 100% am following further action because of this. Not everyone wants drugs and sometimes people really need help! The inability of that doctor to be able to determine the difference has very much cost me dearly and it was unnecessary.

Was transported to Harris Hospital for a G.I. bleed and low potassium. I’ve been here a few days now, and I must say that the staff here are incredibly kind and compassionate and caring as well as the doctors I feel completely at ease and comfortable with the care that I get here I find it very amazing. Like I said the people here are truly kind compassionate hard-working people. I’ve enjoyed all of my nurses and doctors and CNA‘s. I highly recommend Harris Hospital in Sylva, North Carolina

Horrible care. Went to ER after procedure when I began vomiting and had high blood pressure. Beth, at the front desk, did not include on my paper work that my chest was tight; only the nausea and vomiting. I sat for over an hour, and no one ever came out to even take my blood pressure. Sought care elsewhere, will be speaking with an attorney.
