Received assistance at a crucial time that made a huge difference for me with housing.

UPDATE: Zach M (full name will be provided to Hark NWA if requested) has just not been a reliable coordinator during our interactions. The communication has been very delayed; especially when my check for assistance went missing, and I had to show up in person to receive a returned check because he wouldn’t respond in a timely manner and wasn’t even aware the check had been returned, even though I asked numerous times for him to check. I asked him to bolster the resources he gave me for utility assistance and food pantries since there wasn’t enough information or accessible ways to get to the organizations that require you to go in person that he suggested. I would love to feel like the person I’ve been talking with at this nonprofit cares about people, but I was cut off when I was explaining my circumstances on the phone to Zach a few times over the first time we spoke. While I’m thrilled I got housing assistance, and I understand that Hark NWA is really busy, this person should not be community-facing, or should have more training on effective and compassionate interpersonal communication.

I have been approved for rent assistance back in August , it's now December still no check . There is no explanation to what happened to the check. Now a 3rd one has been issued. My apartment manager has been really patient with this but can not wait any more. My lease is up this month and I can not renew my lease because of this. So I'm loosing my home because of something that I can't control. I can not afford to move and refuse to move . This has been my home for over 3 years . How can a check take more then 4 months to get here and why am I the only one who's check never came since September
