The parking lot area can be used to connect to the wifi through NC Connect. It is fast and free, which can be a big help when your own home wifi is too slow or fritzy to do the jobs you are working on and need to get done. There is also a paved walking trail next to it where 4 laps will get you a mile worth of walking and benches if you need to sit for a breather. There is a small playground area for young children where I have taken my granddaughter and she learned to swing by herself. The multipurpose building itself has beautiful artwork on its front done by local artist Karen Harley and local community members. This building has become the Boys & GIrls Club for the Haliwa-Saponi Tribe and is an integral part of the community. They currently have an exercise room open on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 8am-11:30am. No membership fees. This building will also host part of the Haliwa-Saponi Boys and Girls Club and Summer Camp beginning June 2022. Grand Opening on Friday & Saturday, June 10-11, 2022 from 2-6pm.
