They take just 16 applicants a month for help with utilities. Calls are taken at 9 am the first Wednesday of the month. They also have an amazing clothing pantry. There's also a good pantry. Call for more info.

I have been a recipient of Greater Birmingham Ministries in the past. But Friday October 11, 2019 I called and I talked to a Caucasian woman and I ask her what did I have to do to get a referral to Oak Mountain Mission? She said come in Monday at 9:00 A.M. and ask for Mary. I said thank you. I go to the Greater Birmingham Ministries Monday morning October 14, 2019 I arrived at 8:51 A.M. and the building is closed. I was so ? angry Why did she lie to me I wasted my little gas for nothing. She knew that place was going to be closed Monday. She knew she was off. I know that we don't know what condition we will end up in , In this world but we reap what we sow. She might have to use the help of someone else of a ministry one day. Be careful how you treat people. I have to ask God to forgive me in order to forgive her.
