When you go to the highest point for the first time it is so scary😱... Very beautiful views, many places for beautiful photographs🥰. There is a small zoo and a cafe.

Grandfather Mountain
One of the tallest mountains beside Blue Ridge Parkway in the Southern part of North Carolina. Beautiful mountain range with easy access to the top of the mountain. Being maintained by a non- profit entity. Mile high Swinging bridge is the main attraction at this mountain peak. Reservations are required to ensure access to this area. Animal habitat, picnic and barbeque areas are attractions. Steep curvy roads. Be careful when you drive especially when the roads are wet or icy.

Grandfather Mountain is beautiful although we didn't go in and pay. We just hiked down the street from it

The fee is $20 per person in each vehicle. We accidentally went to this location trying to go to the state park. Though the fee was very high we paid and hiked to the swing bridge and the peak of the mountain. It was easy and fun. When we visited it was extremely busy and that took away alot from the fun of hiking but it was still worth it.
