Burgers reminded me of homestyle burgers from North Carolina. Great quality for sure. Onion rings,and fries were crispy hot and flavorful. Egg creme unfortunately was a big no for me and I was excited to try it. It taste like chocolate milk with seltzer in. If it was made a bit sweeter it might have made the difference for me. Overall a really great lunch I'd definitely eat here again.

This place was overhyped. I was highly disappointed with the food. I got a single burger and it was the thinnest patty I’ve ever had. You have to get a double if you want any kind of protein. The fries came out cold (which they did replace) but they were nothing special. The fried pickles are all batter - you can’t barely taste the pickle. Just overall not great if you’re looking for a satisfying burger experience. I did however enjoy their homemade ranch. That was quite nice.

PHENOMENAL smash burgers! Every time I go back home to visit family I make it a point to try a new burger joint to find the best burger in NYC. Ive got a new Number 1 because these burgers were juicy, flavorful, and fulfilling. From the special sauce to the great sides, this place did NOT disappoint. I had the pleasure of speaking with Mike, the owner, and we started talking about where I’m from. Lo and behold, he is having a pop-up here in Miami this month. Needless to say me and my entire table (plus more) will be stopping at the upcoming pip-up. Amazing burgers Mike! Better staff and service rounded out this experience.

Highly recommend to anyone looking for a great burger in the city.

Hands down one of the best smash burgers I’ve had. Better than 7th street burgers and Smash Burgers for sure. This burger had a lot of flavor and even though it was smashed flat like a real smash burger it still was juicy and dripping with sauce. This was a must stop for me and I’m so glad I got to try it. The Gotham smash burger is in my top 5 best burgers of all time.

Classic, hit the spot when starving. And open New Year’s Eve!
Simple smash burgers. Loaded tots were tasty (very much didn’t need, they’re a meal in themselves).

Classic egg cream = coke ice cream float as per NZ classics, but normal soda water. Basically a wee dessert. Also the staff were friendly as, unprompted!

My son and I were walking in the Lower East Side and I noticed that this was a 4 + Stars establishment..

At first I was a bit concerned because it appeared the only serve Smashburgers... BUT the hostess was very welcoming and accommodating and assured us that we could have whatever way we liked and did not have to have all the sauce and onions which are not on my diet...

That being the case the friendly counter person was also very accommodating and took our order down very patiently... even though it was crowded. All in the staff was incredibly friendly. The burgers were very tasty without the sauce and onions. Even and the fries were seasoned perfectly. Not even a crumb left...

Atmosphere was very upbeat with music playing and a country western sort of vibe.

There is not a full sit-down service you order at the counter and then they text you on your phone when it's ready.

Would definitely recommend a visit if you love burgers.

This was my third and final stop on my smash burger tour of the lower east side. I started at KO Burger, then Zaab, and finally here.

These guys put the smash in smash burger! Of the three, this was the most smashed, with delightful burnt edges. In terms of overall balance and deliciousness, I would rank KO Burger higher than Gotham but Gotham is certainly above Zaab.

The fries here are good, better than their onion rings. The service is great and the atmosphere is the best of these three options I tried. It's the only one that is a dedicated sit-down restaurant.
