This place e has wonderful programs that actually help people. The staff gives everything to those people, as far as support and guidance. They do a lot and find true value in family connections and truth.

The residents (guests) receive benefits well over the value of their hours worked. The quality and standards of the Mission are the highest I've ever heard of and those standards produce amazing and transformed members of society. Even volunteers and staff members lives are wildly improved by learning to be better people, but the sole dedication is to God who asks for care to the homeless. Change is rapid to constantly improve toward that vision

Someone was asking and showing a pic of me around the shelter. I went to ask if I could find out if whoever left a message for me. I was told "We can't do that. We can't tell you who's looking for you or check if they left a note!" So, I will NEVER go there again since they DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE PEOPLE WHO UTILIZE THEIR SHELTERS SAFETY!

I volunteered in the kitchen area of this homeless shelter, and I was shocked by the food conditions. I was instructed to cut pieces of mold off an expired cake before serving it. When I raised concerns, the cook told me the residents "know about it"—but that doesn't change the fact that it's a major health risk.

After looking at other Google reviews, I see many complaints about similar issues, with the company responding, but it's obvious that nothing is actually being done to fix the problems. This is unacceptable for a place that serves vulnerable people who deserve safe, nutritious food.

Honestly, experiences like this are why I'm considering leaving Tucson. The city clearly isn’t taking care of its people, and it’s frustrating to see the same problems ignored over and over.

I am beyond grateful for the people here in not talking about the ones you don't see behind the screens. Although they back their people up.

A lil store about ME, I was homeless for a lil while, We (my minor son and I) lived in our car for a few weeks till this amazing police officer pulled me over and saw that we lived in our car and helped me search for a safe place for us to live, unsuccessful she gave me this address and said be there at 6 am.

So we went there... missing the check in time the first day. The gentleman who was very understanding of my situation asked me to give him a moment and spoke with his supervisor came back and told me get here as soon as possible the next day. We showed up.

We lived here for a little under 3 months. I was hospitalized at one point and they extended our stay, because I was hospitalized I lost my job, I got a new one. Ok enough of ME

The WONDERFUL blessings of people that are employed here. Don't treat the residents (homeless) like we're unworthy like a lot of places do. They are respectful polite, kind and understanding. I have been unfortunate to be homeless but I was beyond blessed to having stayed here. They helped me get back on my feet and providing the furniture, appliances, dishes, food, cleaning supplies As well as everyday essentials but most of all my Self Respect!

Yes there are rules but they are all for good reason. THAN

THANK YOU, MY GOSPEL RESCUE MISSION FAMILY! For being the FAMILY I needed during my darkest hours.

They waste your time, order you around, force you to work for free almost like mocking you for the one thing you need the most. They don't share the WiFi, making it impossible to learn a new skill or run a business or apply to jobs online. They take your essentials when you check in and don't have the resources to replace them (towels, razors, etc). They made me quit my political canvasser job saying I wouldn't get paid. I did get paid and I would have been able to end this hell of poverty, but they threatened to short list me and continue to depend on them. They are full of themselves for "helping", but they gaslight and scapegoat you. It becomes a revolving door, temporarily alleviating a problem rather than fixing the problem at it's source. One of the staff forced me to say I had a mental illness. Apparently you can't be poor unless you are also mentally ill and on drugs. So now your feelings don't matter, and nothing you say can be trusted because you're mentally ill. All the attention becomes focused on your own behavior and "what you need to do to change." Straight up gaslighting and scapegoating you until you're so deep into learned helplessness you have to rely on the system for everything.

I've given in the past. But just watching on KGUN 12/10-11/2024 of the food drive and seeing expensive range rover in line waiting for food! A brand new pickup truck also waiting for food. Rich people taking free food meant for the poor and destitute. Shameful! No more donations from me. I'm not feeding the rich anymore.
