This place has a lot of items, but nothing made me say, "Buy it." I had to organize the book area as I was looking through them. Sometimes, I wonder what people's homes look like. Please be a little more respectful for the next one to look at the book shelf.

My experience at this place was extremely discriminatory. Today, I visited the location and encountered a light-skinned African American cashier with braided hair in a bun. I saw a gold purse that I wanted to purchase, but the cashier blatantly lied to me.

First, she took another couple before me and retrieved two PlayStation controllers that she had been holding for them from behind the counter (which doesn't have a glass display for items). Then, another employee, Fran, mentioned to that cashier that she needed to go to lunch, and the cashier informed Fran that I wanted to buy the gold purse. Fran instructed me to wait until she got the line down and that I would need to wait in line to purchase it.

I waited in line, and when I reached the register, I informed Fran that I wanted to purchase the gold purse. Fran responded, "Oh, I can't sell that to you." I asked why, considering she had told me to wait. She ignored me and started ringing up another customer. When I asked who the manager was, she said it was Marcus. I requested to speak with him, and she called him on the phone, explaining that I wanted to buy the purse, but she had told me they couldn't sell it.
Marcus came out with an attitude and didn't even care to speak. I explained the situation to him, but he refused to sell the item to me, downplayed my concerns, and refused to give me the cashier's name, only providing Fran's name. When I asked why I couldn't have the other cashier's name, he said it was because she was on lunch, even though she was clearly there during the incident. His behavior made me question whether he was protecting her for personal reasons.

They held items for a couple that doesn't look like them, yet lied to me about not holding items. When I asked Marcus if he was the store manager, he kept saying, "Ma'am, I'm the manager," without clarifying his role, as there are many different levels of managers. Enforcing rules selectively indicates a lack of consistent policies. Marcus then says I don't know what happened I said you have camera's you can go look to see what happened he smirked.

Marcus, you lack professionalism and customer service experience. You should not be in management. Your team’s behavior should have consequences.

Goodwill investigate Marcus, the light skinned African American Cashier and Fran (cashier) they are all concluding together. Worst customer service ever at this location.

After purchasing two count, after thinking, I was doing a good thing and supporting the Goodwill industries of eastern North Carolina by purchasing two cameras from them, which I assumed were in good working order they ended up not being in working order when I took the items back to the store The manager on duty or the assistant manager, that was filling in ““ Refuse to refund my purchase. As they said, they do not Issue refunds of any kind or take the item back. As a consumer, this was the worst customer service that I received, and I will not patronize Goodwill industries of North Carolina any further I caution anybody that is shopping there for anything other than clothes as their staff is improperly trained on correct customer service procedure

It has much more selection of goodies!! They are always friendly and professional!

Not much to look at... they don't have sizes separated at all. Hard to look for things especially when a bigger size. The parking lot is the reason for lower stars. There's legit bloody rags and a large amount of trash every where. At least care about the environment you are taking up.

WHAT GOODWILL?
so sad, this " Goodwill" organization is taking in millions , billions of dollars a year selling clothing donated by the public for Free!!!
yet they are so greedy, they refuse to have a restroom for customers or provide basic coffee or Tylenol, aspirin, water bottles/ cooler or decent wages for employees.
often the good hard working employees ( often immigrants) are worked to death, taken advantage of, exploited! as the slack lazy american workers with poor work etic take up space and make it harder on good employees with work ethic.
Dam GoodWill!
1.treat your good employees better
2. loose the slackers !
3.provide Coffee in breakroom
4.make available headache medicine.
5. provide public restroom.
6. play some variety music in store ( the place sounds like a morgue )

So disappointed with the service I got at this location. I was buying a bunch of home supplies. There are no buggies available for guests to carry their stuff. (The only ones I saw employees had things they were putting back) So at this point, I’m carrying at least 30 pounds of frames around the store. I asked the cashier upfront if I could leave it upfront while I continued shopping and she said yes. When I go to check out, she informs me. “ Oh, by the way, the stuff that you left up here somebody else took it. I wasn’t going to tell them they couldn’t have it. You shouldn’t have left it up here.” Even though she understood that she was the employee who gave me permission to leave my items and also the employee who knew very well. She was selling someone else’s stuff.!!! And then had the audacity to Charge full price and offer no apologies or Any sort of discount!!!!!!! Basically just told me I was screwed. I am so so upset with this service.

Was filthy from the parking lot to the inside. Trash outside all over parking lot as well as inside with clothing and merchandise laying all out of place. Not to mention a bad smell inside. Employee was greeting people and super nice but that’s the best I can say.
