The Goodlife Cafe & Bakery served up a truly delightful lunch in a cozy and inviting atmosphere! The service was excellent, and we were thrilled with the abundance of vegetarian and vegan options.
The street tacos were a standout, especially the tofu tacos - absolutely exquisite! We also loved the avocado toast, which offered a unique and delicious twist on my usual homemade version. The kids devoured their quesadillas, and for dessert, the chia pudding was simply out of this world! The lemon tart and chocolate cake were the perfect finishing touch to a wonderful meal.
Highly recommend the Goodlife Cafe & Bakery for a memorable and satisfying dining experience in Mendocino!

Must must must try restaurant if you are in town. I ate the best avocado toast in my life here. The toast had in house grown micro greens with pickled onions. Loved this combination. If you like sweet and sour combination and then definitely try it out. Apart from it we tried omelette with potato soup ( almost tasted like clam chowder ) which was equally tasty. And their fresh oj had a bit of ginger in it which tasted well.

Overall do not miss this restaurant.

Everything was so good we came 3x out of our 4 day stay.. and one day we came into Mendocino when they were closed. Ingredients were fresh and all baked goods were delicious. Both pastries and bread on our sandwiches were great. My favorite was the chicken sandwich and definitely the cappuccino! Will be coming back when I’m in town again. Patio is also dog friendly!

Even on a rainy day in Mendocino this café had a line outside. Just ordered a latte, it was a longer than usual wait. Coffee was okay, they use Black Oak Coffee beans.

OMG. We’ve been traveling the Pacific Coast Highway from LA and have had some great meals. However, tonight’s dinner was the best we’ve had. The flavors were amazing and everything was so fresh.

This place gets really busy! The coffee was unfortunately not good even though they advertise a good roaster. It’s seat yourself. We got a breakfast burrito ($12) which I really did not like, and the special French toast which was good. Overall nothing special, but admittedly we didn’t try the pastries which looked good!

This spot has been an institution in Mendocino for as long as I’ve been around and the newest incarnation, Goodlife, might be the best. It gets rave reviews, is popular with locals and visitors AND always has a line out the door. An extensive and eclectic menu where everything is prepared with care, along with daily specials good enough to tantalize even the most refined of pallets. They also have items fit for every dietary need which sets them apart. They have both in and outdoor dining that is covered and heated when necessary. It has a warm and pleasant feel. The staff is very attentive and courteous trying to provide the best customer experience. This is a must visit when you are in Mendocino.

Eggs Benedict is my recommendation if you're here for brunch. Eggs were poached perfectly and their hollandaise sauce is creamy and tasty. Biscuits are house made too and are crispy. Also ordered seasonal roasted veggies with rice and tofu stir fry. That was also well seasoned particularly the tofu.

They can customize the dishes to your preference and some dishes have suggestions too.
Their house sourdough is soft and delicious with butter.

The ambience in the cafe is lively and sometimes it gets crowded. There are a lot of colorful paintings on the walls. Staff is warm and friendly.
