Went for a food box after trying to call multiple times, could not even get a food box. My names in their system and they turned us down. Not to mention extremely rude. Will never be going back. The mission is supposed to be helping people but theyre not. They are judging people heavily. And refusing services.

This is the worst place to go they are extremely rude you can be talking in a normal tone and their security will get loud with you and threaten you with violence to throw you out of the building and all you have to do is say it's frustrating that they gave you false information and then they refused me help they just want to be very disrespectful they need to go back to church they're supposedly churchgoers and a church but they sure don't act like they're very good people they should be ashamed of their selves to even call themselves a church you're not good people they would rather let people starve then be kind and use their ears and listen

Today I had the opportunity to see what truly happens at good samaritan ministry. These folks are awesome. With the smallest amount of people that work their every day,they have made sure that at least 40 homes have food for at least a week. This is so cool and the need in our community is great. Thank you so very much for what you all do.

Good Sam used to be my absolute favorite thrift store. I used to shop there weekly. I would grab an iced coffee from the coffee shop down the street and just browse the aisles. It was such a relaxing place to be, and I never came away without multiple items in my cart. The store itself was pleasant to be in, beautifully laid out, and organized. They also made wonderful posts on Instagram featuring charming vignettes that showcased a first peek of their best new items. I often found myself going to the store in between my regular visits to snatch up these fantastic finds. My home has been completely made over by the amazing things I've found in this store.

But now...

The store has changed so much. And not for the better. This store that used to feel like a high-end thrift shop now feels like a cheap junk store. It's very dark, gloomy, overcrowded, and chaotic. The last few times I've been there, I couldn't stand how claustrophobic it felt. I could barely see what they had through the over-packed shelves, aisles were jam packed making it impossible to get through with my cart, and I ended up leaving with nothing. Their Instagram posts that were once so thoughtfully put together, now showcase ridiculous items that I would never purchase. My final visit, however, was the last straw. I picked up a basket to look at. I noticed the entire corner of the basket was missing, and they had a price tag of $6.00 on it. But the thing that really got me was in the book section. This "Christian" thrift store that serves as a ministry had books on witchcraft and the occult. As a Christian who loved supporting this ministry, I was done!

I'm so sad about all of this. Thrifting is one of my very favorite hobbies, and Good Sam was my number one go-to thrift store. Not anymore. I don't know what's happened to this once fantastic store, but I sure wish they'd realize these changes have not made for a better shopping experience. Quite the opposite. Please bring this thrift store back to what it once was...please!

Debra Defrieze, a "volunteer" social worker,doubting, moved my belongings leaving it in a CHAOTIC DISASTER " and night mgr said ,"THIS is a mess" when she left some of my belongings OUTSIDE for over a WEEK, along with my groceries that ruined from being in boxes. I have pics and made several attempts to contact her to no avail. This is NOTHING as to her reply about fixing this MESS, asking if I was donating, as for my ruined groceries to call for a food box. She is a disgrace to Good Samaritan and if they are desperate enough to have her there, they are doing an injustice to the community!!!

Tried to set up a pick up. They engineered the process to avoid and refuse? Took my name and number two different times then would call at the end of the day and leave a voicemail on their way out of the office. When I would call back they would say to wait for another callback. When I told them my phone was not ringing good, they told me to call back as soon as the person called later in the day, which I did. After 3 days and talking to two different people, they simply said policy prevented them from going ahead with a pickup since they had trouble reaching me? What a laugh.

Won't help with clothing unless it's due to a fire or flood.... Went to get help for clothes for me and my family and was turned away cause it wasn't due to fire or flood. Like I want to wear what I had on cause it's fashionable. They have rows and racks full of clothes which is overpriced and a back room full of donations(they get for free) and they can't help with a few pieces of clothing.... I mean yall get the stuff for free so everything you sell is a profit. And it's a thrift store/indoor yard sale so the prices should be yard sale prices. Movie prices shouldn't matter is there Disney or not either.
