I don’t think they look up the stuff they sell to price them accordingly. I purchased a king blanket that was tagged for $18.00. A few weeks after I decided to look at the manufactured tag on my blanket online. The blanket was sold by Costco for $11.97. So I paid more than what the blanket actually cost. I always tend to look up the items before I buy them because they are always priced about the same as buying them new. I’ll continue to donate but I think I’ll be buying from them anymore.

I understand it’s a thrift shop and not a donation center like Salvation Army or Goodwill, but I left this place seriously unhappy. I had called in advanced specifically to ask about the item. I wanted to donate. A very nice woman assisted me and even checked with her supervisor to be sure they would accept my item. So I load up the car take it there and get harshly rejected by the two jerks working the donation input. Obviously I don’t know that they are really jerks, but I can say I was very unhappy with the way they treated me.

For starters had I not slept my stuff out of the car and leaned it against the wall of the building. I don’t know if they would’ve gotten off their asses hasn’t even helped me. The woman in front of me who had just finished unloading, was assisted a lot. But not me. And then when they gotta look at the items, they said no we can’t take these. It’s gonna be a hard sell so I said well that’s specifically why I called in advance to make sure you would accept them and the woman I spoke with said she checked with the supervisor who said these would be fine. They said well maybe they were confused about what you were asking. I said I assure you they were not confused but fine. I’ll take my stuff and go elsewhere. Despite my struggling to get the items back in the car, of course they didn’t lift a finger to try to help me get them back in anymore than they wanted me to help me get them out of the car.

So I took my items to Goodwill where I was assisted cheerfully and five minutes later I was on my way.

Please don’t patronize this business .

It’s a thrift store, so you’d expect to see a wide variety of interesting things. They definitely do have that. Also really low prices. Very enjoyable to sift through. It was also really crowded and everyone was digging pretty hard. I’m guessing new stuff must constantly be coming in. I love thrift stores for looking at the totally random carts full people manage to pull out. They didn’t disappoint on that score either.

A whole lot of junk for a whole lot of money. $75. for a 4' tall artificial plant that was so sunfaded it needed to be tossed out/recycled! I don't know where all those "friendly workers" were because I sure didn't see any. They were too busy arguing about ow many hours they had to work this week. Sorry if you find this review to be abrupt, but I was not impressed at all.

Golden Goose had a wonderfully friendly vibe from the staff as soon as you walk through the door and all throughout the store. It was my first time there, and it seems like they have a quick turn around of items. They have a plentiful selection of jewelry, furniture, and glassware. There is also a nice case of film cameras; though I wish to have seen more. It would have also been nice to have seen more variety in the clothing they put out. Most clothing is marketed towards the older population, and if you’re looking for any men’s clothing besides golf tees, there isn’t much to see. It was a busy day for a Thursday afternoon! Happy thrifting!

Very rude when calling to ask about getting donations picked up.very picky about what they take and practically throw it back at you if they won’t take it. For a charity place, they suck.

My friend and I came to buy furniture for her home today. We wanted to take the item home today. The Hispanic gentleman working out back at the donation drop off looked at our car and decided without measuring that the fireplace would not fit inside. We did measure after and it would not have fit only by 1 inch; too close to call just by sight if u ask me. He was quick to make this judgement as he seemed to be in a hurry to close up and be done with his shift.

We also tried to drop off donations at 1:45 pm and the same gentlemen denied us dropping off donations which we later read the sign posted out back that states donations are accepted 8-2pm mon-sat. So, we could have dropped off our donations as well because we were in the time frame posted.

My complaint is of poor customer service. This gentlemen could have taken the time to give better customer service instead he appeared to be more concerned about finishing his closing duties. It takes very little to give good customer service.

I found this place to be a shell game when it comes to the discounts. For example: my wife found a piece of clothing that was supposed to be 50% off for its sale, however at the register they try to tell me it's linen so therefore it doesn't count and sell it to me at full price.
Secondly, I have found many used items that were donated to this store to help its local community ... At least that's the hook. In reality items are being priced for more than it cost to buy them new with a warranty in the regular stores. So this is definitely a buyer beware store.
In conclusion I find this store to be offensive in the manner in which it takes advantage of the good local senior citizens which don't know any better and don't know how to use technology to do price comparisons prior to their purchasing. I'm certain it is possible to find a "good deal" lost in the abyss if someone we're to dedicate their afternoon to finding one. However, I will not be returning based upon the illusion of a potential heart change of greed.
