Amazing! I had not been to this store for a couple of decades. Just didn't have any projects in that area. I had no idea, if they even still existed. Man, was I exited to them still in business! And the 3d generation family man is greeting you at the door and running the check out!👍🏻

Showed up here looking to buy some cedar lumber for garden beds. Moses was so helpful helping us figure out best 'bang for our buck' given the lumber size and what made sense for the garden beds, kindly cut the wood to *exact* measure, and made the entire experience a pleasure. Prices were more than reasonable- I was delighted by how great the prices were. If you are looking for an extraordinary customer service experience with a family-owned local business that invests in the community, this is the place to go. There is no way I would've received this level of help and customer service at a big box store; G&S can count on my family's business for a long time to come.

The people are friendly and helpful. If you have a question. You get the right answer. The shopkeeper is a uniquely honest man. That values your satisfaction. They have a lumber yard, electrical supplies, paint, plumbing, hardware, propane. And fair prices. A great old place with history and value.

Much more than just a mom & pop hardware store. The fact they’ve been in business for well over 3 generations says a lot about the business and the family it’s run by. I called the store after hours accidentally, (thought they were still open but had been closed for about 20 mins) asked if they carried a specific tool, and not only did they carry a variety of this tool, but the owner said he’d still be doing paperwork for a little while and offered me to come grab the tool. I was there in less than 10 mins, they were all locked up, but he unlocked the fence and let me in. Sold me the tool, and while we waited for the register to start back up he offered me soda and/or water. I’ve spent well over $20,000 in the last couple of years at Lowe’s and I’ve never been offered a free water. Glad I found this place to say the least. Will be a customer for many many years to come.
