Saw a picture of my cat Sage (named Rattlesnake when I got her) saying that the cat was abandoned when in reality that wasn’t the case; She had escaped and we just couldn’t find her, and thought that our neighbors had her. Anyway, I talked to them about the issue and the lady who answered the phone was agitated accusing me of letting my cat go outside (as if I did it on purpose).

I fully understand that they do care about their cats, but I didn’t adopt her just to let her go outside. Instead of having an emotional mature conversation over the phone, this lady was just raising her voice kind of interrupting me into what I was going to say next. I thanked her for taking care of my cat, but not for giving her away.

With that being said, not all animals get abandoned because sometimes they like to explore the outside too. Sage had a cat boyfriend and he comes by looking for her still. Use to even wait at the door for us to open it when he was with her, as well. I give this place 2 stars because it’s okay. Again, people assume you abandoned a cat when reality is not just black and white. I hope my cat is doing good, and is feeling safe and loved.

I am so grateful for FMAS. I found what I assumed was a stray cat and after trying to get it seen by the vet I found out it had a chip. When I brought the cat to humane society they called the chip info and Diana answered. While the cat was adopted out to a family they obviously abandoned the cat and that’s how I found it. Diana cares so much about these animals and it shows. She came all the way down to Burlingame to get this cat back. I wanted to adopt her and I was able to meet Diana and talk with her and her associate and you can tell she does this because of a passion for saving lives of animals and making sure they go to a good home. I ended up getting our cat (rattlesnake named by Diana) and I can’t be more thankful. While adopting our cat there was one more that I also adopted. All these animals are so loved by FMAS and they do everything for the pets in their care. Another positive is that even though my cats are adopted there is always an open line of communication and if anything is needed or advice you can call them. Thank you FMAS!!!!

I have made trips with Diana to bay area and see everything she does and many different issues she deals with each time. Her friendly energy is never ending and she makes sure everything is top notch. Works very well with the stores and she is very well liked. It's heartwarming to see happy adopters and Diana is great with the public. Someone left a uncalled for very mean review and was only concerned of his issue which was non urgent as she was dealing with traumatic issue of her pets being mauled at the moment he came in. Yes, her issue was very important as anyone's would be if pets and family were in harm's way. I could never do all this lady does and she makes sure she takes care of the customer's. She has ALWAYS been a diamond, and she still is. I have always been proud of her determination to keep going as she does. Great job Diana,, keep it up!! I am proud to volunteer with this group and all the great work all these people do. Keep it up!! A breath of fresh air for Madera!! Saving lives and happy homes!!

Diana Frazier is truly a gift from God. She and her staff are dedicated to her commitment of being a 'no-kill' shelter. Her word is her bond and she follows through. When she says she will call you, she will call you. She took 4 of my kittens , prepared all four of them prior to taking to PetsMart in San Carlos. Prep included deworm treatment, ear treatments for mites (2x), micro-chipping, Feline and rabies shots and also a flea treatment for all 4 of them. She is truly an angel from God that goes way above and beyond to insure the best possible success at rehoming God's beautiful creatures. I can't recommend her highly enough. What she does is truly a blessing from God and I believe she will do all she can with God's guidance to give animals the best chance at rehoming with loving and caring pet adopters. God bless you Diana and thank you for all of your help.

My housecat Belle got out and got pregnant several months ago. She ended up having 4 babies and even though my kids and I loved them more than you could imagine, we do not have the room for them. I live in Visalia and could not find a shelter or foster for my kittens anywhere. For 2-months I searched all of Tulare County and found nothing. I then extended my search as far south as Bakersfield and as far north as Fresno, and found no one who would take my kittens. I got the same line each time, that "cats are free-roaming and can be let out". But my kittens were non-feral, spoiled, and very loved house cats, so they had very little chance of survival in the wild and I would never do that to them.

Then one day my mom happened to see a shared post about FMAS. I took a chance and gave them a call. First, I took my kittens by so they can see they were friendly, and once they confirmed that we were off to the races. They got my kitties vaccinated, dewormed, and spayed/neutered all within 2 weeks. And 2-weeks after that they found a home for all my babies in the Bay Area. I miss them dearly, but I couldn't be happier knowing they all have good homes now. That's all I wanted for them.

Diana, Chelsie, Becky, and the rest of the team are absolutely incredible and the most caring people I've ever met. Thank you again for everything you did for my Rocki, Terry, PB, and Pepper, and even for their spoiled mama, Belle 😸 I wish you all the best!

FMAS is a great place. They are well informed and are compassionate to all fur baby loves. I am so grateful for the information provided by them. The program for animals loved by a deceased human is something that should be spread. Thank you for your help
