My Father in law was here for a few day. In those few days we were treated with kindness and warmth. The staff was absolutely amazing. Through every visit they made sure we were taken care of. He could be a bit stubborn at times but they were patient and kind. When my Father in law passed they were loving and respectful. I'm so thankful he could spend his final days in such a wonderful place. We can't thank them enough for that.

Sorry but not Sorry but not sorry they don't deserve any stars. I've been calling this facility every day for a week 2 and 3 times a day to speak with my nephew who has stage 4 cancer. Iam beyond being fabergasted that no one can tell me his status. No straight answers are given as to how he's doing. They are just saying he's sleeping and not taking calls at this.

THERE POLICY IT SAYS IT'S A 24-HOUR FACILITY AND ANYONE CAN COME THERE AND SEE THEIR LOVED ONES
I HAVE BEEN TOLD BY SEVERAL PEOPLE AND VOLUNTEER AND CAREGIVERS THAT WORK THERE SAID THE FAKE FAMILY PRETENDING TO BE HIS FAMILY DOES NOT WANT HIM TO SPEAK TO ME OR ANY OTHER FAMILY MEMBERS
THE PEOPLE THAT ARE ON HIS MEDICAL PROXY LIST ARE NOT HIS FAMILY I AM HIS BLOOD FAMILY
THE PEOPLE THAT PUT HIM THERE DID NOT HELP HIM WITH HIS HEALTH WHEN HE WAS WITH THEM AND THAT'S WHY HE IS THERE IN THE LAST MOMENTS OF HIS LIFE
THEY DO NOT HONOR THEIR POLICY BECAUSE IT SAYS THAT ANYONE CAN GO THERE AND SAY THEIR GOODBYES TO A LOVED ONE
I HAVE NOT DONE ANYTHING TO ANYONE AT FRANCIS HOUSE NOR THE PEOPLE THAT ARE PRETENDING TO BE HIS MEDICAL PROXIES
I THINK THAT IT IS SHAMEFUL AND VERY DISRESPECTFUL IN THE EYES OF GOD AND MEN I DON'T SEE THIS PLACE BEING A GOOD PLACE FOR ANYONE ESPECIALLY WHEN THEY ALLOW OUTSIDERS TO MAKE DECISIONS FOR PEOPLE I HAVE SENT SEVERAL EMAILS ALL OF US HAVE BEEN CALLING FOR SEVERAL TIMES IN A DAY I JUST SPOKE TO MY BROTHER ON WEDNESDAY TO LET HIM KNOW THAT I WAS COMING UP THERE THIS WEEKEND AND HE WAS MORE THAN HAPPY TO WANT TO SEE ME AND THE REST OF MY FAMILY NOW ALL OF A SUDDEN THE VERBIAGE HAS CHANGED I WAS EVEN TOLD THERE WAS A NOTE ON HIS DESK THAT HE DID NOT WANT ANY PHONE CALLS EVERY TIME WE CALL UP THERE AND SPEAK TO ONE OF THE PEOPLE THEY PUT US ON HOLD FOR SLEEP OR DOESN'T WANT TO TALK TO US BUT I'VE BEEN TALKING TO MY BROTHER FOR THE LAST WEEK AND A HALF BECAUSE I JUST FOUND OUT ABOUT THIS INFORMATION BECAUSE IT WAS WITHHELD FROM ME FOR THE PEOPLE THAT HE'S BEEN LIVING WITH FOR THE LAST 20 PLUS YEARS THEY HAVE BRAINWASHED HIM INTO THINKING THAT HIS FAMILY DOESN'T CARE FOR HIM EVERY TIME I HAVE CALLED THE NUMBER TO SPEAK TO HIM THE PERSON THAT HE WAS WITH WILL NOT ALLOW ME OR THE FAMILY TO COMMUNICATE WITH HIM LIKE THEY HAD HIM IN A HOSTAGE SITUATION THEY DID NOT TAKE CARE OF HIS HEALTH THEY HAVE PUT HIM IN THE PREDICAMENT THAT HE IS IN NOW HAD HIS BLOOD FAMILY BEEN ALLOWED TO BE IN CONTACT WITH HIM IF I HAVE WOULD HAVE BEEN IN CONTACT WITH HIM MY BROTHER WOULD NEVER HAVE GOTTEN THIS SICK TO WHERE HE HAD TO GO TO HOSPICE SICK TO WHERE HE HAD TO GO TO HOSPICE HE IS ONLY 55 YEARS OLD AND HAS HAD HIS LIFE STOLEN AWAY HE HAS NIECES AND NEPHEWS AND A GREAT NIECE AND NEPHEW THAT HE'S NEVER EVEN MET JUST RECENTLY I PUT THEM ON THE PHONE SO HE CAN SAY HELLO TO THEM AND HE CAN HEAR THEM SAY UNCLE I

Francis House is truly a home, and the people that make it what it is felt like family throughout the hospice process. My Aunt was a resident at Francis House in August/September 2023, and I saw firsthand what the concept of "dying with dignity" truly means. I am not a particularly religious person, but the staff and volunteers are truly angels. There is no other way to describe their work. They take such special care in making your last weeks or days on earth gentle and comfortable, and uplifting family and friends of the deceased who are coping with impending loss of a loved one.
