I used their free compost pickup, and it was super easy. Scan QR code, bring your own containers and tools, then load and take it home!

Fertile GroundWorks is an incredible place. I first found them years ago when I was looking for places to volunteer. I loved how kind and welcoming they were. They taught me tons the gardening knowledge and skills. I was able to bring that knowledge into myown home and start myown garden for my family.

I also love how active Fertile GroundWorks is in the community. They provide all the plants for the Livermore school district gardens and support the gardens however they can. They also provide food to the food kitchens in Livermore because people in need deserve good food too. And if that wasn't enough, they run a you pick program. You can come get fresh in season food! The money from sales goes back into the garden to support everything they do.

Overall, this is a beautiful place filled with wonderful people. I highly recommend volunteer if you can. They welcome people of all abilities and can find a way for anyone to help. It can be a simple as sorting seeds, to turning over beds.

I volunteered today with my co-workers and the people here are so nice and knowledgeable! They've done a lot with the land, and the amount of work they put in is noticeable. I'll definitely be back to volunteer some more.
