I’ve been a patient of Dr. Mahran’s for years and absolutely love him — he’s kind, patient, and truly listens. I trust him completely with my family’s care. Unfortunately, the front office staff can be quite rude and unprofessional at times, which makes the experience frustrating. If it weren’t for how wonderful he is, I would have considered switching practices by now. I truly hope the front office improves because this doctor deserves a team that reflects the quality of care he provides is patients.

The nurse of Dr. Brown was very unhelpful and disrespecting of my medical needs. She refused over and over in assisting me with a billing dilemma tying up 100's of my very limited money. Wish I could give negative stars been going to family health for 6 years and never have I been treated so callously.

Very disappointed. I was FINALLY diagnosed with hyperparathyroidism but only AFTER I was summarily dismissed for being my own advocate, and, sadly, I now have osteoporosis at 53...a door prize from allowing my parathyroid to drain my bones of calcium.
So yeah. Thanks for nothing.

Absolutely the worst doctors office I have ever been to. 20 minutes to an hour wait just to get into a room where we wait another 20 minutes to an hour for the doctor. They cant seem to get my insurance correct in their system so I pay way too much for an appointment I should only have to pay 30 for. I am slowly switching doctors for my entire family. This place is horrible.
Edit** 3 years later they are just as bad. I hate this place. 20 minutes after my sons appointment and we are still waiting in the waiting room but if you're late 3 times they won't see you anymore. This place is a joke

I am normally absolutely terrified to get dental work done. Have been here for two visits and not afraid to go back. Very clean and work is done very quickly. When I made dental assistant aware of my phobia she was very calming and offered solutions to put me at ease.

I will agree with Rhonda's review of Dr. Anna Hatic, her nurse Joyce, and the reception staff in her suite. They are the best!!!! With that being said, this review reflects Family Health MINUS DR. Hatic and her staff. As we all know, healthcare in this country has went downhill fast. I made an emergent appointment with family health for symptoms of pancreatitis specifically stating if they could not get me in I was going to the E.R. due to the pain. Unfortunately Dr. Hatic was full scheduled and so I settled for a N.P. instead of Dr. Hatic. I saw N.P. Michel Ferguson who sent me to Wayne for CT Scan and labs. She called with the results which I already knew, I had pancreatitis. She tells me it is treatable at home, clear fluids only, see Dr. Hatic in 3 days, if my symptoms worsen go to the E.R.. No other guidance than this even after calling 3 times to request guidance and being told I would be called back from her. Ummm...hello...I was already on my way to the E.R. so how much worse was I supposed to allow myself to get? The next morning I went to Reid Health E.R. (read my review of Wayne healthcare and you will know why) and was admitted to the hospital for pancreatitis and dehydration. The best part was while I was in the E.R. at Reid, Joyce called me to tell me Dr. Hatic saw my reason for visit and results and wanted me to go to the hospital right away. In case any are wondering, the STANDARD OF CARE for pancreatitis is hospitalization for pain control and i.v. fluids to prevent dehydration. N.P. Ferguson stated blatantly to me she knew how to treat pancreatitis because she worked in a hospital for 12 years or something.
After stating my intentions to pursue civil litigation in this matter, Jon Paul returned my letter of intent with his own stating they were effectively accepting my resignation from Family Health even though I stated I intended to stay with Dr. Hatic. Even worse, I had an appointment with Dr. Hatic for my ongoing health issues and Mr. Paul decided to abandon me as a patient 2 weeks before my appointment with Dr. Hatic. His reason being that the staff of family health "covers for each other" and could not guarantee I would not see another nurse practitioner. Anyone using Family Health already knows N.P.'s are a fallback if your doctor can't see you and you need to be seen. You ALWAYS have a choice whether to see a N.P. or your G.P.. He was simply trying to cover up the abandonment of a patient. I have since moved all of my healthcare to Reid Health Network and wish I would have done so sooner. Again, Dr. Hatic, Joyce, and their staff are completely awesome and caring. If they ever move from Family Health to a private practice, or to a network outside of Family Health I would return to her.

Updated 02/13/2019: You have my permission to publicly respond. I delivered a HIPPA release for you to do so. This should not be a debate, but you should be allowed to state your interpretation of the incident. While as a patient of Family Health, I have also been told I had Leukemia based from a single blood test from your facility. No other signs, nor symptoms. I was referred to a cancer center which after they did blood work wanted to know why I was there and who referred me because I showed no signs of any type of cancer or any blood abnormalities. In fact, their blood work was sent to the surgery center for the okay to have surgery. I had a doctor attempt to scorn and belittle me by stating I needed to see a psychologist because I CHOSE to have 2 neck and 5 back surgeries. After a screaming match in the office that never should have occurred, a little while later I received a call from Joyce apologizing for the doctor because my file/chart had been misread and I was referred to a PHYSIOLOGIST...not a PSYCHOLOGIST, and as for the surgeries...for the record, I was referred for surgery by Wayne Rehab. What happened above was not the first issue I have had, just the most recent.

My experiences are with Family Health Dental; a part of Family Health Services. The staff are absolutely wonderful, from the receptionists to the dental technicians to the doctors. They go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and at ease and to provide the best services possible. We are from another county and it's well worth the drive for appropriate, considerate, medical care with a smile.
