UPDATE:

I made a post several years ago. Although it was true back then. I have visited that church since then because my oldest daughter is a member. I have spoken to the leaders about my experience and they have deeply apologized. They have even stated that changes have been made and they are no longer the same church as they were back then.
I have seen the growth in the church and the positive changes it has made. I greatly appreciate the conversation with the leaders and the apology. Even though I have a church family. (FWC of Shabach in Jacksonville, NC) I would attend this church on special occasions to support my daughter.

I would not even give this place one star but you have to in order to post.

I am not sure where to begin with the exception of my recent experience with relation to a family member. A soul has passed to heaven. A family member’s soul. If by chance a member of this family could not attend the funeral, that would be acceptable as not all can do so for one reason or another. And that’s ok. But when they can, and they do attend, I find it appalling that a ranking member ( the (BISHOP) of the church has the gall to call or text the member of the church to remind him/her of his/her responsibilities for the upcoming Sunday. That he/she has to be back to fulfill whatever that responsibility is. Not once offering his condolences to the whole family!! Apparently a soul going to heaven doesn’t mean much to this church!! Or at least a grieving period! My family member should have been able to spend time with his/ her family. Yes church is important but church alone is not going to get you into heaven. God knows and God understands I am sure. To the Bishop, you are inconsiderate and self minded. This is a church I would definitely not recommend to anyone! My opinion is that this is not a church but a CULT and has brainwashed many that attend!

I have been to several churches and never felt comfortable enough to return. You see, I have a blended diverse family and feeling comfortable in the presence of others without being watched is important to us. From the moment we walked through the doors
at Empact ministry we received nothing but love and acceptance. We knew we had found our home, our new family, a place where we can grow spiritually, and become a better version of who God would have us to be. I will forever be grateful for Empact Ministry and how they embraced my family as their own!!!

This ministry is not just a church, for me it’s a lifelong family full of laughter and love! I came to this ministry at a young age. 14 to be exact. Ever since I’ve know the people of this ministry my life has been so full of people who love me unconditionally! I found God who put my broken pieces back together and even blessed me with a husband, a daughter and another blessing on the way! I can say honestly that had I not joined this ministry I don’t think my life would be this full of love and happiness♥️Forever grateful for Empact Ministry!
