I just had to share how professional & kind Eliada has been in such a difficult time for THEM! We were planning a trip to the corn maze with friends. We just moved to NC & have never been. But mother nature had different plans. After hurricane Helene, it was obvious that we were not going to be able to travel there to see the wonderful corn maze. I was so impressed that Eliada reached out to me since I had already purchased the tickets....I mean, THEY were the ones in distress! Not me! And very quickly after the devastation, they reached out regarding a refund. My family decided to donate the 9 tickets we purchased to the relief. My family was so grateful to get the donation receipt in the mail along with a sincere note of appreciation. That was such a special touch & we were so grateful. BUT THEN we even got a postcard some time later from the Chief Dev & Comm Officer too! I am just blown away that they put forth the time & effort to be so gracious when so much is going on there to support others after the storm. We will DEFINITELY be visiting there in our future. It is rare to find such a genuine & kind company. We can't wait to support this business now & in many years to come! Thank you Eliada for being you!! Providing child care for our family for generations. My grandmother was an orphan there. I visited many yard sales and corn mazes before other family members began employment there. My kids have been enrolled there for years now and the staff is more than accommodating. Some staff treat us like family. What Eliada offers and has offered for 100+ years in Western North Carolina can not be beat or replaced.

This has to be the worst PRTF I’ve ever worked at. I was a former employer and got treated terrible and this is from staff. The protocol system there is terrible by the time you run through protocols you would have already been assaulted by a consumer. They need diversify the staff especially in leadership positions you have kids coming from all over different backgrounds so have a complete diverse staff helps

Umm, I used to go here while I was young, the teachers (one had short hair and glasses, were female, other one, I forgot) were just treating me and the other kids horribly, I didn't even know why I went here, I had no mental issues, the teachers were horrible and abusive, the principal was the only one who was nice to me, as soon as I get to the money and the legal age to file a lawsuit, I will be suing the place.

The staff of Eliada homes are not responsible individuals, and they care much much more about their paycheck than the safety of the children. I was one of the last few kids in their Lions cottage and EAC facility. The place has been shut down time and time again, and children are abused and neglected very very often. My story is the main reason why the EAC/Lions cottage, and Cummings cottage were closed down for almost 2 years.

This sounds like a lie but it isn’t… I broke my wrist into an almost 90° angle while at eliada homes, and they delayed my ER trip by over 45 minutes, and instead took me to seven sisters urgent care….. not the ER… an urgent care. it was visibly bent in the wrong direction, swollen, and red. The adrenaline had its ability to come and go… and all the while they kept telling me to just sit tight, and “we’re working on getting you to the doctors”….. it was 45 minutes of agony. While they told me to just sit down and keep an ice pack on it I even had time to demand to talk to my parents. I eventually got up and tried to kick the door down, because they weren’t working on anything… they had almost no intention of taking me to the ER… and as a 16 year old who was separated from his home… in this position I was utterly powerless and crippled. My father (who lived an hour away) was at the emergency room entrance and waiting for some time before I was, and we were a 10 minute drive from it. the staff members who take an oath to protect the safety of the children didn’t even take me to the proper hospital…. They had zero intention of doing so. It was only because my father spoke to the lead staff member that day, that I ended up going. And days later my parents received a call from eliada to “discuss” the “events”… they had a lawyer on the phone to try and protect themselves. They messed up, and they didn’t ever even apologize. Which I still feel like I’m owed. On top of this, my wrist was shattered into 7 fragments and required alignment, and surgery.

I’m 20 now and if I ever meet one of those staff members I actually don’t know what I’d do.

I stayed at eliada a few years ago as part of the PRTF and was abused. This place did nothing but make things so much worse. They actually had to close the prtf cottages (lion and Cummings) for more than 7 health and safety violations- including physical and mental abuse as well as R-AP-E. There’s a video about this place and how awful it was. Do not trust them with your children.
