Yesterday, my 2 year old son had a 106 temp, body aches, chills, etc. We came to the ER got checked in and they gave him Motrin then we proceeded to sit there for 5 hours with a toddler who was sick and getting extremely irritated and uncomfortable. We asked for a nurse to come speak with us because it had been so long since we talked to anyone. We ended up leaving and decided to go to a pediatrician due to the nurse never coming to speak with us. I've been to multiple different ER's and I have never had to wait that long especially when it involves a child's health.

On vacation had to visit for a migraine. Went in at 4pm left at 6AM! Lots of nurses saying dirty things out loud about patients.( comments how they didn’t want to be bothered) Made me feel very uncomfortable. When told it was a possibility that I could be pregnant they still gave me medication, lots of it, and a blood test a hr before I left saying I was fine. 2 days later I take a pregnancy test came out positive, a day after I started miscarrying. DO NOT RECOMMEND COMING HERE, ASK TO BE FLOWN TO SOMEWHERE ELSE WOULDN'T TRUST WITH A LIFE

The receptionist was very pleasant and welcoming. The triage nurse was very professional and caring. The doctor told me that they treat broken bones with Tylenol and Motrin.

I'm there now and have been since 10am. The morning staff was great, helpful, and got me set up very quickly for a transfer to the big hospital in Greenville. But 12 hours later, I am being warehouse and ignored. I have not been transferred and my request for food has been ignored by more than one person for over 2 hours. And I'm still in an ER room with no bathroom and no AC, but hey, I was offered a bucket and washcloth so why am I complaining? Sheesh! Worst I have ever been treated in my 62 years on the planet.

This place is a joke. The staff is incompetent. The doctors are even more incompetent and don't deserve a medical license. The ambulance personnel that a police officer called to attend to my son did nothing, they did not even know how to take the vital signs of my 4-month-old baby. We arrived at the ER because my baby was experiencing irritation in his eye and part of his face, oxygen skirt, runny nose and some small pimples began to appear... The doctor did not give any diagnosis to the pimples on my baby's face. . They called him scratches, how could he possibly say that... for the second time we asked again what his diagnosis was and how stupid he said it was (I don't know what to tell him, I don't know what his son has) this place is disgusting... Ha, but even the doctor's buttocks hurt from sitting since they had us focused in front of their desks and he just sat in the chair, continuing to talk loudly with the other nurses and doctors... these doctors don't care about the lives of people.

Took my 85 year old mother there today for UTI as urgent care wouldn't even see her. Everyone was kind, caring and efficient. The staff was professional and doctor Cookson was great! Very satisfied with the visit! Thank you.

I went in at about 12:30 am for what I think was bad food poisoningor a kidney infection. There is nothing worse than waiting when you feel nauseous or are throwing up, so I was nervous I would have to wait to be seen. I waited about 3 minutes before being called back. The staff was so kind and helpful. Sometimes you are left in a room forever before they give you anything. However, they immediately started me on something for nausea. The nurse even talked to me while she took blood, which was a helpful distraction. This experience has really changed the way I see ER care. While I hope to never go back because it's expensive, the ladies there last night were amazing!

We unfortunately had to bring our one year old in the other night after a potential head injury from falling off the couch. I did not feel that the people at the front desk handled it as well as they could have. I was on edge worried about my son so I went up to ask “isn’t a head injury a time sensitive thing, is it safe for us to be waiting for him to be seen?” and she responded “well you said it happened a few hours ago and didn’t think it was urgent enough to bring him here until just now, so a few more minutes isn’t going to make a difference.” I had told her before that the reason we were just now coming was because he wasn’t showing any symptoms of a problem until just before we arrived, the reason we came to the ER was because he fell asleep for a nap and we couldn’t wake him up for a while. At the point of this discussion and us waiting, he was still asleep and would not wake up, so I was panicked and wanted him to be seen more urgently. But everyone at the front desk acted like it was no rush.

The second issue I have with this facility is that the doctor we saw flip-flopped his opinion several times and was very unclear to us on what he recommended. He initially told us “I’ll do a CT scan of his head if you would like, but he looks fine to me and I am not sure that it’s worth the large amount of radiation to his developing brain.” When I asked him how much radiation it was in comparison to an x-ray he said it was a significant amount. It fully sounded like he didn’t think it was necessary. Then later in the conversation, with no change in information available to him (he knew all the details at the very beginning) he started wavering and saying it might be a good idea to do it, so we told him we would go ahead and do the CT scan. Then we did some research and took his initial advice into account and decided against it, so we told him we think we will wait. Then he starts acting like we are making a bad decision not getting it, and says “I’m not worried about a concussion, I’m worried about a brain bleed because I can’t explain away his sleeping event earlier,” when initially he literally told us he doesn’t think it’s necessary to do a scan, and he knew about the sleeping thing at that point and still didn’t think it was necessary. So we decided to do it again, but then at the end told him once again that we would rather just wait and if he has any other symptoms bring him back and have it done then. We didn’t want to expose him to the radiation when he seemed to be doing fine by that point. It was a hard decision made way harder by the doctor changing his opinion so drastically over the course of the conversation. Then he wrote in our medical notes that he recommended a CT scan but we denied it, which is inaccurate. He started out specifically NOT recommending it, and then changed his mind. Made us anxious about the radiation and swayed us against it and then sways us the other way, then writes it as if he gave a clear cut recommendation to do the CT scan and we just refused to do it. That was not the situation.

The nurse we had was very good though, as was another sweet nurse who brought my son a blanket and toy when he was getting restless. Their good attitudes and kindness is very much appreciated.
