I can only speak from my own experience... Spring 2024 AA competitive... This league is EXTREMELY unprofessional and COMPLETELY uninterested in fairness or teaching kids about sportsmanship. Our little league team practiced and played their hearts out only to have an umpire (who had a record number of complaints against him) decide to end a PLAYOFF game early. Basically stealing a whole teams championship opportunity. This is an umpire that was hired and trained by the league. When complaints were made, the league's response was basically "Too bad." They didn't contact parents. They didn't try to make up for it in ANY way. They didn't even offer an apology.

I could look past the poor comunction for most of the season (canceling games 30 minutes prior to first pitch), or the horrendous condition of the fields. I could even justify the homeless camps 20 feet from the field... But showing 8 and 9 year old kids that their hard work doesn't matter if one crooked ref wants to hand a game to a cheater of a coach... That's pretty unexceptable. Why bother print a rule book if you aren't going to uphold the rules?

ECLL will not get a cent of my money... A minute of my time (supporting the team, or trying to find sponsors, or fundraising).... Or a kind word from me.

This is the EXACT reason travel ball and pony leagues are gaining more and more popularity... Little League IS NOT WHAT IT WAS WHEN I WAS A KID!
