They are helpful there but remember to pack your patience. While the reader board might say one thing when you check in, your estimated wait time can become longer and longer the more you wait. For example, when I checked in originally it said it was going to be a 10-minute wait. By the time they actually got to me they said it was going to be a 45 to 55 minute wait.

Yall need to fix your systems, how is it fair to do the eligibility review and then disconnect the call for no apparent reason, not call me back to continue and then “oh, we stop taking calls at 2pm “ so if your doing your eligibility call and they hang up on you at 2pm and don’t you back then youre out of luck!

Luke was great. This place can frustrate people and keep you here all day let’s face it no one likes coming in ( I was here 3hrs ) but employees like Luke make you feel seen and heard, he was understanding asked good questions and was very thorough. Thank you Luke for being compassionate in one of my most vulnerable moments.

When i finally found the right branch of DSHS?, I WAS KINDA GRUMPY!, IT WAS THE THIRD BUILDING I WAS SENT TO! NOT BY A PERSON BUT BY FLY'ERS ON THE DOOR'S! SO THAT MADE ME THINK? ALOT OF FOLK'S GO THRU THE SAME MERRY-GO-ROUND, AS I DID!, WHEN I FOUND THE CORRECT OFFICE FOR SHORT TIME DISABILITY? THE FOLK'S THERE COULD NOT HAVE BEEN KINDER* THAT WAS THE OFFICE'S OF EMPLOYMENT DEVELOPMENT DEPT.

Typically staffed place not so short people. But people need to REALIZE that yes it will take awhile, and yes if you aren't there at open it might be a day. But remember they have to do EVERY PERSONS STUFF EACH TIME. Youll have to wait. Or you can call and wait.

I'm not sure what that Lauren woman was on about her sitch, but based on her other reviews DSHS sucks, but mcDonalds and acrylic nails are awesome. I wish I could eat at McDonald's on welfare money
Getting nails done? You ain't that hurting. Sit down and wait Jesus.

Don’t bother coming to this location! The first faces you see when you walk in the door, they are awesome! Wish I got the same respect from the case worker. He is very rude and seems like he doesn’t want to help people. He asked me why I was here, I told him and then he proceeded to tell me that has nothing to do with my case and I deserved to be in the position that I’m in? I didn’t know I could feel any worse than I do but this guy made me feel even more horrible than I already did. He told me to put a mask on and I said no I’m vaccinated and he got all mad grab the mask and then went to get gloves also. Didn’t feel good to be treated this way at all! Btw I waited 150mins to get in to bed greeted like this! He didn’t tell me his name or introduce himself. He is at cubicle. 11! Older white male blading, glasses, and masked up.

It’s a joke.
The staff that are there have unnecessary attitude.
I got there right when it opened and didn’t get out until 10. It’s understaffed, if you thought it took forever before you’re in for a treat now.
They have a phone set up, where you talk to a representative on the phone who is working from home If I wanted to do that, I would’ve just called myself & waited on the line instead of standing in line!!
At the end of all of this, they weren’t really helpful with my case at all.
I don’t feel entitled of them to help me either, it just becomes frustrating when you’re at already at a loss.

They've done a good job streamlining the intake process but there is still a long wait if you need to see a social worker and if you're trying to get EBT card or gas voucher you have to be there by 2:00 or a social worker or anything else you have to be there by 2:00 and you better get there by 8:00 in the morning or you going to be sitting there all day
