They took Los Angeles Dream Center to just North of Temecula. Amazing community work is done now in multiple cities with multiple Dream Centers. I know someone who volunteered for a summer. Boy, oh boy, did they help out and they had a great time volunteering...

My wife and I first met Mel followed by Brett and then their team. The work they're doing in the town of Lake Elsinore is beyond words. Their investment in this community will reverberate for generations!

In a time of need, I never thought I would experience assault from one of their workers. It has been 3 months (June 6, 2023) since that terrible experience here, and I waited that long to see if the CEO Brett would honor his word or Patty would follow through in making their female worker accountable for her actions. My first experience here would have been super if not for the comment the older white female worker made at the end saying I looked like trouble. Now those are not words a black female mother with her child in her arms wants to hear from a so called Christian. I’m a Christian and I would never say that to someone as a volunteer or not. It’s just rude and belittling. This woman was an older white Woman, fast talking and touchy.

The second time I arrived I needed to get a card, check out the dental bus and see if I could grab a free Irene for my baby. Everything went well until I turned to go to the bus and the fast talking older lady spots me and comes up to my child and I. (I has been avoiding her due to her last comment not sitting well with me). She gives me a hard time telling me I can’t be there, I can’t get any stuff, they can’t cater to me wanting fruits and vegetables and to get baby stuff elsewhere. She is touching me as she is saying this and making me feel uncomfortable the whole time. I then tell her I feeling she is giving me a hard time and explain why. She chimes in and I say you are giving me a hard time again. At this time I feel annoyed and I turn and leave. As I walk away she grabs my right arm and pulls me back towards her. I have my baby in my other hand and I hold my child for dear life. As I face her she raises her voice saying she is doing the Lord’s work, no she is not finding me hard time and that she is right. She was angry! And she was abusive. I reported this to Patty the day after, not knowing who to talk to. And then Brett the CEO. To this day they have not resolved it. And I have not gone back there again. A place where they allow a worker who to not face consequences and make condescending comments and assaults a Mother with her baby in her arms like me because she is angry at what I said (yet when I was upset with her comment I didn’t put hands on her hmm) is not a place for me.

I’m not alone in this and maybe this will encourage others who face harassment, racism or assault from workers to speak up.

I'm so grateful this organization has come to our city! They are helping change the atmosphere in our downtown area. People are beginning to take pride in Lake Elsinore. I love it!
