Dorcas is a Faith-based store that offers a Costco-sized selection of goods, from clothing to glassware, shoes and even collectibles at VERY affordable prices. Artwork and books, toys and seasonal items are likewise available . It is a second hand store with perfectly usable items for everyone in the family.

Love this store. They never sell anything that’s dirty or broken. It’s very organized, shelves are well stocked, and the money is going to all their ministries.

A high volume thrift store, with lots of turnover on items. You can almost always find something good. The only downside is the environment. I am a reseller myself but this place is like Thunderdome. The store management does nothing to crack down on ridiculous behavior. People steal dvds and cds so regularly its pathetic. I have been panhandled by bums several times while browsing in the store right in front of the staff. Resellers act like total pricks here doing things i have never seen. I don't blame the store necessarily but they need more of a security presence. People act like piranhas in this store.

Edit: I’m really disappointed with how Dorcas is being operated since my first review. The up pricing on the shoes has gotten worse which they should clue into with the stacks on stacks of shoes that have sat for several months due to the $25 plus price tags. Typically if I show the cashier something mismarked they will adjust pricing. Today I found a beautiful scarf mismarked as fabric—it even had “shawl” written on the content tag. I asked if I could receive scarf pricing and they said no because they aren’t allowed to change it, which isn’t my experience. But if something is right in front of your eyes as being incorrect why not fix it for the customer? Then she asked me if something was a dress (it wasn’t, it was a plus size woman’s blouse) and before I could even respond she said “oh yes it is”. If it was a dress it would have the Dorcas dress tag on it! The bag boy packed so much in one bag it crushed the lamp shade I’d bought. My bill was well over $100 as it is most weeks. I spend good money with you guys but I’m tired of the greediness that is occurring with the pricing.

I love Dorcas! I come here frequently and the staff are always so nice. Some even remember my name and strike up conversations. I find most things reasonably priced, although lately some of their shoes have been off with pricing, asking $20 for some used off brand shoes. I notice the same shoes week to week which should signal the over pricing. Fun for home goods too!

Applied for emergency assistance, theres a lot of negative things I could say but I will refrain. I am new to NC, been here only a month & am overall grateful to have been given this resource. However, I have not had a good experience, and am totally disappointed with the services, or lack there of that I was given.

I would like to THANK the manager that took care of an issue that happen today ( friday afternoon ) Very good to work with an was able to solve the problem with a price value we were having. I would like to thank her to the fullest. Great manager skills an Great to work with. I would recommend this store to everyone who has not been there. Very nice store. Thank you again..
