How is the investigator late to an appointment she set up? It says a lot about this non profit organization! The brochure they give out specifically states if you are doing anything incorrectly, they will show you how to do it correctly. I felt as if the investigator belittles us. She also laughed after we answered questions she asked. She even questioned me as a legal guardian, why I’m not the payee. Is there a law requiring me to be the payee if I’m a legal guardian? I just don’t feel like she was there to informed us on the correct action. I believe she was being bias on the information she received.

Called in and spoke with Monica. She really went out of her way to make sure all of my questions were answered along with proving useful information. I really can’t say how much I appreciated the time she took to make sure all my needs were taken care of. This organization really has exceed my expectations and offers great resources!

The DRNC is very resourceful. I was able to ask all the questions that I had, get the answers and the help that I needed. Curtis Hill was very patient, professional and accommodating and I’m grateful for the help and support that he gave me.

Wish I could I give better rating but they have never even helped me.They were contacted by hud so I could have someone advocate for me. Not only did they not advocate for me they wouldn't even sent the information to advocate for myself even after I asked for it.

What a shame! I have two autistic children. My youngest was disenrolled the first day of school due to her autism needs (was told so by the director) even though her first day was wonderful. My toddler was CRUSHED - DRNC wouldn't take her case. They also wouldn't take my oldest's case years ago when there was Title IX problems nor my oldests case now concerning equitable access to after-school care (was told my Kady it seems more like a "cost issue"). WHAT A POINTLESS ORGANIZATION!

I met with Ms. Kirby Morrow and she was very informative and passionate about what disability rights is all about and what services are offered through this organization. We have parents in our program that could really benefit from her knowledge and get the proper help for their children. Thank you so much!

I am compelled to share my gratitude for this incredible organization. I discovered DRNC through my former employer, and it quickly became clear that this was not just an organization, it was a movement. DRNC is dedicated to ensuring that people with disabilities across North Carolina are treated with dignity, respect, and equality. From the start, I felt a deep connection to their mission and values, recognizing that DRNC is committed to meaningful change in the lives of individuals like myself and countless others.

Joining the DRNC board has been life-changing. I have been welcomed by a spirit of inclusion, collaboration, and dedication from everyone—board members, passionate staff, and community partners. This experience has given me a platform to reclaim my voice and empower me to share my story and inspire others to do the same.

The most rewarding part of my journey has been connecting with diverse individuals who share a common goal: advocating for the rights of people with disabilities. Working with DRNC has enriched my understanding of the unique challenges faced by people with disabilities, especially in underrepresented areas like Eastern North Carolina. This has motivated me to advocate more effectively, raise awareness, and work towards inclusive solutions.

Through DRNC, I have seen how powerful it is when people come together to support one another, share their stories, and advocate for change. I want to empower more people, particularly in underrepresented communities, to recognize their worth and ability to make a difference. DRNC has transformed my life, and I am honored to be part of this movement for justice, equality, and human rights. I highly recommend DRNC to anyone looking to make a difference in the lives of people with disabilities.
