The place is very nice. The community team are wonderful.
Not sure how many countries there are sending their emergency kits. But the feeling that be part of the volunteer process is grateful knowing that someone else somewhere get this help.

I love to support international relief organizations and luckily one of the best ones is right here in our hometown. They have an amazing rating from Charity Navigator and low overhead for the amazing amount of work they put forth into the world. I love this local group so much that I donate lunch to them on a consistent basis - and that is rare for me! A wonderful group.

If you get vaccinated, this is the place to go.
A 9:35am appointment. Arrived at 9:30. Filled out short form. At minimum I could see over 50 people. All six feet apart.
The best way to describe is a well oiled machine. We were moved 3x in a fast paced manner but everything was explained to each of us.
I had the vaccine at 9:42am.
I know this because once moved again outside I had a slip that said at 9:57am I was free to leave.
The last 15 minutes the Doctor walked around asking us how we felt.
Equipment there if any allergic problems.
I felt safe and well looked after.
Lots of parking.
In and out in 30 minutes.
Thank you Direct Relief.
Each and every volunteer were informed, gracious and kind.
When I go back for 2nd shot I know exactly what to expect.
Don't arrive too early as it's not necessary and could be problematic.
I hope this helps anyone that may have anxiety which I did.
Also, and this is just me but I had zero side effects.
It's easy peasy so please have no worries. If your name is on the list then the process begins.
Thank you.

I was part of a volunteer effort on International Woman's Day to assemble care kits for women in Africa awaiting fistula repair surgery. It was gratifying to be able to contribute to a good cause via such a respected organization.

Incredibly helpful During the Thomas Fire and Debris Flow. Not only did they provide masks and supplies to people in need, but DRI also delivered rapid and effective support for the boots-on-the-ground operations to enable a wide range of relief services in the field.
