Being widowed, loosing my job & then being attacked in my own home by a street prostitute I'd been helping led me to experiencing one of the most terrifying events of my life; homelessness.
Thanks to Mr.& Mrs.Halle & The Halle Foundation, I feel able to dream of a life again filled with all the things others have and take for granted.It is such a beautiful environment to HEAL in that unfortunately UMOM/WATKINS Shelter simply could not provide.
I feel beyond grateful! I promise not to take any of it for granted...
Gratitude not attitude and being on the side of the solution rather than the side of the problem are my mottos today.
After reading how Mr Halle began DISCOUNT TIRE, I was very humbled and ah-mazed! It reitterated to me that with the right mentoring and clear cut goals, that I too can and will succeed AND like the Halles', continue to give back by offering employment to the women who enter the Halle center in the near future.
