This could be the best coastal arts council gallery shop that I've been to on the east coast. They have a great selection of local artists represented. The exterior courtyard is getting a modern, beautiful face-lift. I can't wait to see it lit up at night!

Large gallery with a small rotating exhibit on the first floor and a larger one upstairs. Strong emphasis on local artists. Includes wood turning, ceramics, painting, felt. Some of the items can be of interest to collectors of crafts. I don't know if staff was present when I visited, they're perhaps quite discreet.

We visited last week when they were barely back in their home after the flooding from Hurricane Irene. We came upon several terrific paintings and had some trouble choosing one to purchase. Finally we chose a painting by Joy Bressette. Some of the best art in the area!
