Thank you, thank you thank you C.I.C.V.
This place has been a big help to my two kids & I.
It was rite after we lost our house due to the fact that our landlord of 5years died & his daughter sold to first time buyers who planned on moving into the house which was promised as a long-term rental by her Dad.

Anyway no sooner than us going homeless due to no forewarning nor preparation & a lack of savings. My wife of 27years died due to cancer. It was quick, very quick & I found myself homeless. A Dad with 2 kids & no money & no one able to help.

So by God's grace, I found H.A.T. (Homeless Advocacy Team) & a lady named "Denise Williams" who took our case & directed us to C.I.C.V & other programs that helped with my children's birth certificates & Security Deposit. I've been so blessed by both H.A.T & Sec-8 & C.I.C.V & I can not say enough about the great work they all did to help us.

Its only a two bedroom apt & I've been here for 3years now, but I'm supposed to be able to get into a house at some point. So yes this is a great organization trying to help folks one family at a time.

In closing I would like to add that my case had nothing to do with drugs nor alcohol, it was just life & me not having a very good support system. My Dad passed then my Mom passed & then my wife passed & I was left alone but with responsibility's. So plz alow me to ask you to try not to generalize when it comes to homelessness, because it's not always drugs or irresponsibility.

There is a bit of lag with services here. You'll have to stay on top of your case and keep it moving along. Staff can become stagnant,and I believe over extended. However, they came through for me and now the work begins and so we shall see what happens next.
