These people are Angels! I went in with no electricity and there were a couple of forms I needed that I didn't have and had to get filled out but they were very simple to get and do I had them completed and was back in their office in less than 20 minutes and before I walked out of the building I was in tears because she told me take this form to your utility office and they will have them back on within the hour. I was shocked but so grateful and thankful for these ladies. I had no electricity...... Called the number to make an appointment and it was in 45 minutes and I scrambled to get my things together and rushed over and was headed to get my forms I needed in 30 minutes and was back in 20 and in less than 10 she had my paperwork finished and told me to take it to the utility company which I did and it's just right across the block and the lady there told me after I handed her the paper hold on I'm going to do it now while you're standing here. I have a small child under 5 years old so it was very important that my lights were restored and it was in less than 2 hours because of the lady at Community Action partnership. Thank you so much if you see this post then I hope I at least put a smile on your face because in the middle of the summer in the scorching heat you brought my family back to the comforts of air conditioning and for my young daughter to be able to watch Mickey mouse her favorite cartoon and she was so very happy. So what I have to say is make sure you know everything that you need to bring to your appointment make sure you show up on time and if you have any questions when you get there tell them first hand your questions and make sure that you do have everything that you need because if you don't they will set you on a path to get everything that you need and they will tell you to come back in a timely manner, and be polite because these ladies are not paid to do this they do this voluntarily so that makes them all the more Angelic. Thank you from my heart and God Bless You both. Oh and also, they will give you information on several other resources and your city or community that can also help with other things like they give me a paper with an address to a place that I could go and get groceries or dried goods if I needed them and because I have children that their fathers are not in the picture right now she give me information to financial assistance and or child support And also information for mental health if I had anyone in my household or family that might need help but can't afford it I mean literally they are just amazing!!!! If I could give them more stars I would.
