I’m grateful to get to help I need but don’t call trying to Ask questions because the receptionist there is rude and will literally just hang up on you. She don’t care I sit on hold forever just to get hung up on.

I went to the building to get some information on their business programs. I waited at the front for at least 5 minutes while the receptionist smoke a cigarette outside. Two people looked at me from another room, no one came to the desk, so I left. Receptionist still outside smoking. I will never visit that place again.

I've signed up twice for PIPP and still haven't heard anything about my application being approved or denied. I keep doing this over and over dropping off all documentation that they ask for and still not on PIPP yet? I'm currently on hold and being caller number 1 on hold and the building is closed!!! So how am I on hold then?

This place is a JOKE! You can call and be placed on hold. Once you are on hold it will say that you are caller number one. Then as you wait on hold, it progresses you up to number 11. You can't meet these people in person. When you try to call and schedule an online appointment, the automated system will not let you. The officers of the community action agency earn over $100,000.00 per year and this is the best they can do?

If anyone refers you to this place, don't even bother. You're NEVER EVER gonna hear from anyone. You call, no answer, you go up there & ask about your appointment & you're met with a lady that's annoyed by your presence who will just tell you that you "haven't been assigned to a caseworker yet. anyone that's facing eviction or a utility disconnection, when you're done waiting on CAA, you'll DEF BE ON THE STREETS bc idk who this "non profit" is receiving it's donations from but they CERTAINLY AREN'T USING IT TO HELP YOU.

They will only help if you’ve had covid. I was recently diagnosed with cancer and need surgery at 41 years old. I’ve never needed assistance in my life until now. I’ve gathered donations for the free store for 11 years all year around but when I finally need help, I can’t get it because I’ve never had covid. Now I’m facing eviction and have a notice from Duke to get my electric cut off. Only two months behind about to lose everything! Just doesn’t seem fair at all.
