We used this building for a celebration of life. The room worked well, was easy for people to find, and had plenty of parking. The gentleman who checked me in (who watched me carry in 25 folding chairs by myself and set up 11 tables by myself) did make a call and have someone turn the air conditioning on. I did appreciate that.

Many of the things that were listed on the website were in accurate and caused a great deal of frustration. It said there 14 rectangle tables and we counted on using 12, maybe 13…but there were only 11.

We did find a smaller table and two rounds one and made it work but of course we didn’t have the right linens because it wasn’t what was described.

It said there were only 60 chairs so we brought 25 extras…but there were actually closer to 80 which would have been really nice to know.

We were also told there was no AV at all but there is actually a tv mounted on the wall in the room. Would have been really convenient to be able to use that too.

We were also completely done and cleaned up and there was no one around (even after two phone calls) so we had to sit and wait for 30 extra minutes. We were told twice we could “just leave” but there was no way to lock the doors from the inside so we would have been responsible if anyone had entered and caused any damage or issues.

All in all, it worked out fine but there were a lot of things that could have been handled better.

This place will always be home to me. The community here is awesome and I love how we all look out for one another. The Coldsprings community has the best unity and since of togetherness you'll find in all of Washoe. This may sound strange but the only thing that saddens me is watching the apartment and warehouse industry Inch closer and closer and I hope they stop building more houses out here. The fact that its so small and quiet out here is what gives it that wonderful Coldsprings charm and the reason most of us want to live all the way out here.
