Clarion Hotel Convention Center - Minot, North Dakota

After another hotel failed to actually put my reservation in for our state hockey tournament, we were left to find another hotel with any availability for my family, who now had no room. I looked up a couple of different hotels and ended up choosing this one because it seemed to offer quite a few amenities and things to do for everyone who was with me.

The price was good, especially for everything we were able to use or benefit from. The service was awesome! The front desk employees (a man and woman - I believe a husband and wife) were so kind and welcoming. They were actually joking with us and allowed us to check in an hour early. I had to come back down and ask the gentleman some questions about my bill, and he explained everything with such a kind demeanor!

We had a great location, easily accessible right off the elevator, which was nice for my older father. The room (w/ two beds) was huge! Enough room to lay down a queen mattress and still have plenty of walking space! Everything was clean. We were able to utilize the refrigerator, as we were there for a couple of nights.

We loved and used the hot tub. It was conveniently located away from the pool and slide, which made it a little more relaxing and inviting for adults. I used it both nights that I stayed. It was a perfect temperature and much larger than most!

The hotel offered a really nice breakfast buffet every morning for free...that was great for my family and saved us some money with not having to dine out for that meal.

The hotel had a nice, tasteful, little bar/casino right in the middle of the hotel. There was seating areas and a pool table. And a cute tiki bar across the street.

I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who is traveling to or staying in Minot!! Thank you for a great experience!

The rooms were clean and spacious. Breakfast was good quality and had plenty of seating. The game room was a nice addition but wish there were more games.
The pool was nice. However the kids slides and fun zone was extremely cold. And the air was pretty cold in the room which made swimming feel colder than it probably was. The hot tub was down for maintenance which really disappointed everyone.

Was here for kids to swim, pool was shut down to everyone, due to alcohol in the area. Signage was poor on this. 1 gate had a sign, but there are 2 doors with no signs and another gate to enter pool area with no sign. I have been there before and it was ok to have alcohol in the area. This should be made known before booking. Complaints of noise, yes this will happen when pool area is closed at 9pm. The management was poor to work with on this incident. Will not stay here again or recommended this hotel to anyone.

Great hotel for the family! Water Park and pool/hot tub was perfect for us. Rooms were clean, quiet and spacious. Wifi worked great! Front desk was friendly. Not close to much was the only downfall but we'll certainly be back!

Positive: The kids pool was nice to have with the kids. While older the pool area was well maintained and pools were constantly tested which I appreciated. Negative: Yes, The fire alarms went off while we were at the hotel and we could not hear them in our room. This is a huge safety concern. We had bugs, living and dead inside our room at the window.

Positive: "" Negative: This hotel had mold in the shower. There was hair on top of the shower drain. Wallpaper was peeling up. The shower curtain had a stain on it. The microwave didn't work.

We chose this hotel with a bit of wariness, due to some iffy reviews. We loved this hotel when our kids were small. We are happy to report that everything was great. The hotel is still lovely, unique and clean. It was quiet. We needed rest and we really had a sense of retreat there. Breakfast was good and the staff were nice. We didn't need them much but they were kind. The cost was low. It was incredible value for what we received. Thank you Clarion for keeping this lovely hotel open.

I enjoyed my stay at the Minot Clarion, recommend it and would stay there again. It's a beautiful and unique hotel with a big courtyard and lobby. It's so convenient to have a bar/restaurant under the same roof and the Capri bar across the parking lot. The room was clean with an awesome bed. The breakfast is very good too with a nice variety. The only small complaint I have is that the breakfast area and lobby have only the yucky instant coffee (not brewed).
