A Christian rescue mission, homeless shelter and charity organization that transforms the lives of sinners, including former robbers and drug dealers through rigorous Bible education, cooking responsibilities, house-keeping responsibilities, and referrals for job training to outside organizations such as People Ready and Episcopal Community Services. One gentleman I met named Antonio is in a cooking program through Episcopal Community Services.

There is a lack of accountability, and a serious need to reinforce Biblical values with the foul language and lack of seriousness in glorifying Jesus with words and conduct.

Regardless, I am very thankful for the resources and opportunities City Team Oakland has given for broken people like me to turn away from my sinful ways and keep in step with the spirit.

This is a wonderful place, that if you are asking for help with addiction, and are will to admit you are powerless and your life has become unmanageable, this is the place to get you back on track. You have to take the first step literally up these first set of stairs. Ask for Gabriel

Volunteering at CityTeam is a really fulfilling way to spend the weekend helping others in the community. I took my teenage son here and its a great way for him to make connections with and see people who are struggilng and working their way out of a tough situation. You can read about it in the news and hear about it from friends BUT when you work side by side with someone who was homeles it has a profound impact on the way you view the world and community. As a volunteer in the kitchen, I really enjoyed meeting the staff who were working there! A few shared their stories with us. I am very impressed with CityTeam's program. Its really easy to volunteer and I will be sharing this experience with friends and hoping they come and help out in the future! We need more programs like this around Oakland!!

My order was finished fast and accurate. Great, tasty food. For the individual try the small 10" pizza unless you like leftovers. With domino's it's just as good the next day in the microwave.

CityTeam Oakland SAVED MY LIFE. They took me in and loved me until I learned to love myself. They taught me how to live without drugs and alcohol. They gave me time to absorb the lessons and, in turn, how to incorporate them into my life. A total life change is not easy, but they were there every step along they way. And they helped me grow in all area's of my life. I have a life today that I could not imagine before I walked through those doors. I will be forever grateful.
