Was there for a celebration of the life of Valentina Orellana-Peralta. Tragic way for this beautiful 14yr old's life to end. Attended with my fellow leaders at National Action Network supporting justice for the family.

The City of Refuge (COR) church is one of the top 3 Black Churches in Los Angeles County. The worship is modern contemporary style. They have an excellent band and dynamic worship team. Bishop Noel Jones is the Pastor. He is a master teacher of Faith in God and God’s Christ. His messages are well reasoned and biblically-based. The COR has a strong community justice emphasis on reconciliation with God, community, and oneself.

We worshipped with Bishop Jones at The City as special guest. We had a great time. The congregation was friendly and praise and worship was awesome. The Bishop had hurt his mouth but he pushed on and brought the word. Thanks Bishop. We ❤ you and God bless you.
